Third time at this resort and, once again, a wonderful stay. Royal Service was excellent as usual, butlers very helpful with every request. Fun shows every day, including a lunchtime show of Flamenco dancing at the Port Royal restaurant. Had several meals at the hilltop restaurant, including a special celebration meal for my wife and I, and Marlen and her staff did a fantastic job. A very relaxing holiday in the sun. We will definitely be back.

Beautiful, clean resort. The beaches are stunning. Clear turquoise water. The waiter Orestes at the enegey bar is friendly and always at your service. Yusmila works at the Piano Bar and she is always smiling. She is very lovely she makes her "special" drinks which are spectacular.

We had a great time at the resort with my dad the weather was very hot 🔥 🥵 but the rooms were amazing the restaurants were great 👍 the staff was amazing Yusmila at the piano 🎹 bar 🍸 makes the most amazing drinks make sure that you go check it out the cigar bar we have Ivan Pedro and Reiko they are amazing bar 🍸 tenders and waiters The Japanese restaurant is the best great food always with a show go visit Sammy at the Hill TOP restaurant gret views of the ocean and pool and some usually plays the grand piano 🎹 great entertainment shows every night Friday was karaoke but different every night magic show or dance show and the beach ⛱️ is the best 👌 👍 😍 in the morning 🌄 the water 💧 was perfect no waives no clouds great entertainment staff they do aerobics in the water Carlos speaks several languages including Russian overall awesome time thanks

Thank you all for making our trip enjoyable. My wife and I spent a week (May 10-17) in this lovely resort. This was our third visit to Varadero in the same resort. We were well greeted on our arrival at the reception desk. The staff over there is very friendly, warm and helpful. Starting from the reception to the customer service office where we booked our "a la carte" and the restaurants and bars staff, all of them were very nice: Hector at the reception with his lovely friendly smile, Belgis with her optimal hospitality, Maday with her sense of humor, excellent service and her smile. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to memorize all the names of the staff we met and dealt with but all of them were really friendly and helpful all the time, even when it was too hot or when there were a lot of guests expecting to be served. Our room was not bad. It needs some maintenance, the AC wasn't efficient. However, it was kept clean all the time. A couple of flowers were kept daily in the room by the cleaning staff who we didn't get a chance to meet in person. Restaurants "Italian, French, Hill top" were really good in terms of quality and service. The beach was excellent. Because we were returning guests, the resort management decided this time to invite us with other returning guests as well for a dinner at the "Hill Top" fancy restaurant overlooking the ocean. Thank you, we really enjoyed it. We do understand that the month of May is considered low season and the occupancy rate is low. Our first two visits were in May as well. The food quantities and varieties this time were lower than before. However, we were always able to find something to eat. Will we return back to this resort?? Yes we will :)

The most important thing to say is that the staff at this hotel are fantastic and do everything possible to make you happy!! The Cuban people are such wonderful people!! I must first name Belgis, Dianelys, Yaima & Odalsis whom were always so caring and attentive!! Thankyou sooo much!! And to our butler Miguel who tried to make everything ok! The staff are wonderful and I cannot say enough about them or all the Cuban people. However, I am rating this resort based on it being a 5 star resort, which it is not, while not operating at full service, and that is not the fault of the hardworking people here, but the hotel owners and management. Without a doubt, during full service, it is probably one of the best resorts, with the exception of the air conditioning, which I will go into at more detail later. We had no idea this would not be operating at full service as we have been to other lower rated resorts during this season and never had this issue. Part of the all inclusive experience to to be able to have the buffet to go to at your leisure, without having to make an appointment for dinner, with the buffet closed down, we did not have this option. They do fine with food and with what they have. It was good. But we paid for 5 star. You would be better off operating the full service buffet and closing a few of the Ala cartes, imo. The air conditioning in this resort does not work well with the exception of the store! It’s so nice in the store, but I should not have to go to the store to cool off. We inquired immediately at check in about our air conditioning in the room to which they turned it off and on again and said it was fixed. Usually, in a warm climate you can go to your room for a cool down but that was not the case here. The restaurants also had very poor air conditioning. This hotel needs to do a better job of communicating what is operational during partial service (which, when we booked, had no idea it would be operating at partial service!) When I go to an all inclusive, I want to be able to book an ala carte, when I feel like a nice dinner out, and to be able to visit the buffet at my leisure if I want to go at no specific time. We had no idea, we would be booked for an ala carte every night because the main buffet was not open. We also, had no idea the Miramar restaurant was open for dinner until our 6th day there when we walked by one evening, and found it open! We were specifically told at check in, that it was only open for breakfast and lunch. As well, the beach restaurant, on our 7th day, we found out it was open, again, by mistake. When not operating at full service, the guests should be provided with a list, at check in, of what is operational and at what times. We also only found out about Cuba day and Canada day from our servers on the morning of. If not for our servers at breakfast, we would not have known and our neighbors at the resort, never did know until it was all over! To summarise…. This hotel is very beautiful, with beautiful people working here and working hard! Although, because of them, we enjoyed our vacation, we paid for 5 star and imo, when not operating at full service, and with such poor air conditioning, this is not 5 star and people should be made aware, at booking that it is not operating at full service! And I know you will say that “all inclusive” means you have to provide food, which you did, but without the main buffet being operational, it takes away from the the all inclusive experience.
