Reviews for Paradisus Princesa del Mar Resort & Spa

Wonderful vacation!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 7 hours ago

I recently returned from my 3rd stay at the Paradisus Princesa Del Mar & it was just as charming as I remembered. The architecture is stunning, the grounds are clean and the gardens are very well-maintained. This resort has the most beautiful part of the beach compared to all of the others in its vicinity. It also has plenty of huts available and a beach bar, which was very much appreciated. The restaurant by the beach, Port Royal, was an excellent option for lunch and so much fun, especially on Cuban Day! It also hosts a special Canada Day celebration on Fridays to celebrate and honour its Canadian guests, which I really enjoyed. Very special shoutout to Dariel, whose positive energy, wonderful personality and hard work organizing all of the beach activities (beach volleyball, games, dancing, exercises, etc.), as well as his participation in the Cuban & Canadas Day festivities truly made our trip unforgettable. Thank you Dariel, we appreciate you and hope to see you again soon! Karla

Friendly Staff and Fantastic Beach

The staff are wonderful and so friendly. The piano bar is a stand out and I was both disappointed and surprised it was not open nightly. Yusmila, the bartender, makes delicious signature cocktails and is so very kind and welcoming. It’s a great place to spend the evening with friends. The recreation team encourages participation in activities… aqua aerobics in the ocean and dance lessons on the beach are great. The beach itself is beautiful with lots of shade, chairs, and a very attentive beach staff. The kitchen staff make the most of limited food supplies the county is currently experiencing. The 24 hour snack bar always has something to offer.

It’s was definately a suprisingly great week…

We have been to Cuba more than 5 x in the past , we always knew not to set our expectattions too high .As we were in dire need of a week in the sun with the most beautiful beach has to offer, we knew Cuba was the place.A bit hesitant to choose Cuba as we’ve been having negative feedbacks due to the lack of sufficient basic supplies ,we kinda hesitated.Thankfully our sales rep recommended the Paridasius Del Mar as a 5* with no kids. The no kids thing was a no brainer. I have to say we had a very nice week. We were suprisingly satisfied by all. From the minute we arrived, we were greated by Hector at the front desk. What a sympatic , kind and very helpful young man. Always willing to help us.And to say about his contageous smile. As for to Mario ,the bar/lobbybar barman…as i enjoyed chatting with him abut his life , his family ,his people.I must say we ate rather well , lobster , beef, chicken and pork were on the menu in most A La Carte Restos… buffet is pretty simple .You will not starve.Great variety of drinks, beer and the coffee at the Road House was a fav of ours in the morning. Coffee at buffet is less to be desired first thing in the morning.,.i recommend Lobby bar for coffee/mimossa ornthe Road House…I recommend you book at the Hill Top Resto ,The Italian , the Japenese and the French Resti.Book right away for the week.Pool bar is great.Beach is beautiful. The sun is hot, the beer is cold and remember these poor people , the country is at their worst , be generous and especially be kind. They are trying their best and they are soooo thankfull that we are back .

Good place. Piano bar best place to chill (should and must be open all days). Long beach to walk. Safe place. We had fun

Good experience. I was there for one week. Quiet place and beautiful beach. Long way to walk on each side of the hotel, feet in the the water. For the food: Nothing was missing in that hotel. Restaurant à la carte: Sakura restaurant is the best place. You will have a great show. Hill top the worst (overcooked salmon and beef so salty that I was not able to eat it. We should have reserved 3 times in the Japanese restaurant. Best place to chill: the piano bar but unfortunately opened 3 days a week! Must be open all the week… considering the night club is closed. Bar tender Yusmina will serve you the best drinks of of the place and the piano man is really cool. Shows every nights. Best was the Notche Blanca with the acrobats. After 1-2 days you will find your best waitresses. Really nice persons we supported. They were grateful.

Excellent vacation!

Great value! Clean, well kept, great staff. Food typical for Cuba. Great entertainment, beautiful beach and pool area. Lots of shade at beach but not at pool. Take bug spray (typical Cuba). Great staff!
