About the Hotel

On one side the placid waters of the lagoon, and on the other the mysterious alleyways of Venice, leading to two of the city’s most stunning modern museums, the Peggy Guggenheim and the new Punta della Dogana. A period palace with an elaborate Gothic façade, but when you step inside you find yourself projected into a future in which each item of the decor has been designed exclusively for your pleasure.

Wonderful Stay at the Sina Centurion Venice!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

What a lovely hotel in a perfect location away from the hustle and bustle of Venice, but a short walk or water taxi away from the center of all the action. The hotel is located right on the Grand Canal next door to the Basilica di Santa Maria church. A beautiful courtyard, beautiful, spacious rooms, excellent breakfast and very attentive and helpful staff! I would definitely recommend the Sina Centurion and would definitely stay here again in the future!

Venice Spring 2024

Wonderful hotel . From reception , to the restaurant staff , to the house keeping . Thoroughly professional and nothing was too much trouble . Room was beautiful. Breakfast was excellent. The only gripe was probably the cost of a beer I took to my room (one night only !) was €14 !! Outrageous. But don’t let that put you off . Location was very central and ideal for exploring

The most beautiful hotel!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

It has been the most beautiful experience for myself and my family. This was actually the first time I have visited Venice even tho my family has been there before. I found the hotel very enjoyable and really furnished. The staff was available and helpful since the day I have arrived especially the concierge Stefano, who helped us by giving some considerations that were really useful to visit the beautiful city. I loved the buffet breakfast menu and the staff was very friendly and kind, especially Rossella and Sweta were really available.

Wonderful hotel on the Grand Canal near Guggenheim Collection

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 months ago

For my birthday I treated myself to 7 nights in Venice staying at this wonderful hotel. The staff, location, service, food, and room were perfect. This palace is right on the Grand Canal just a 4 minute walk to the Salute vaporetto or water bus stop. You can easily navigate your way around Venice from here. If you take a water taxi the hotel has its own pier just off the lobby. St. Mark’s Square is only one stop away or you can easily walk there in 15 minutes passing all the luxury designer shops. The neighborhood is named Dorsoduro and is very upscale with galleries, restaurants, and museums but not crowded with masses of tourists. The breakfast is a very good quality and you can order omelettes cooked to your preference if you do not see what you want on the buffet. I did not need to eat lunch after the satisfying breakfast. The restaurant serves a very elegant dinner with views of the Grand canal. The lobby and bar area are very inviting. My room was a Junior Suite with a Canal View. Really spectacular view of the Grand Canal. Very large with a bathroom with separate rain shower and tub. My suite even had a separate room with Technogym cycle and TV so you can burn calories. The outside of this hotel preserves the Venetian architecture but it is all very modern on the inside. The staff are so efficient, kind, and helpful. I travel a lot and stay in 4/5 star hotels all over the planet and Sina Centurion Palace is one of my favorites.

Look elsewhere -- way overpriced, Inconvenient location, poorly designed rooms

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 months ago

We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights. We honestly do not understand why it has such good reviews or how it garnered 5 stars. We think it has a 2-star location, 3-star rooms, and 5-star price. To start, the location is fairly poor, as it is at the wrong side of the canal. It is ~20 minute walk to get to the center such as St Mark's square, or one can take a ferry. Second, the rooms are also poorly designed -- our room had a step in front of the bed, and it was a serious safety hazard, as we kept stubbing our toes, tripping, even falling, particularly when we got up to use the bathroom at night. The sinks in the bathroom were too shallow, so the water jetting out of the faucet spilled all over the floor. The 1-inch gap between the edge of the counter and the wall is non-sensible. There are not a lot of counter space in the bathroom. I can go on but you get the idea. The rooms are quite small, ~250 sq ft for $700-$1000, which is way over-priced. For this amount of money, you can find much better, genuine 5-star hotels, in more convenient locations.
