Ca' Sagredo Hotel in Venice, Italy
On the edge of the Grand Canal, five-star Ca' Sagredo Hotel holds the legacy of one of the most prominent noble families in Venice. The Sagredos bought the palace in the middle of the 17th Century and assembled an art collection of more than 800 paintings and 2,000 drawings dating from the Renaissance. Original art and antiques envelop guests during a stay that's more akin to time travel than a holiday. Upgrade to a suite for even plusher surroundings – the towering wardrobes in the Library Suite used to house Zaccaria Sagredo's literary collection.
Run your hands over the gold leafing on the edges of your royal bed as you wake up and stretch. Eschew the crowded museums in Venice and descend the hotel’s grand staircase instead. Get absorbed in masterpieces by Nicolò Bambini, Giambattista Piepolo and Sebastiano Ricci. Listen to the faraway notes of a piano player in the salon. Dine on fresh row fish from the Rialto market while watching gondolas navigate the Grand Canal.

Reviews for Ca' Sagredo Hotel
Magnificent Room and very very good housekeeping. Breakfast is not included and costs €31 per person for a continental. Hotel is empty of people (apart from rooms) and not difficult to see why. It is very expensive to eat or drink there. They advertise rooftop bar but as of 21st April 2018, it is closed. 'Talk' somewhere about airport shuttle..........no shuttle taxi costs €120. Apart from housekeeping as mentioned above the staff are almost condescending in their attitude showing almost arrogance in behaviour.

just arrived to find no room, booked through Expedia, they suggest that they have had some room flooding but it is a beautiful day and personally think just over booking and not too concerned about those booking through a site such as Expedia. Very disappointing as first time I have taken my wife to Venice and had arranged perfectly timed flights and private water taxi along with 5 star hotel to find no room at the end of journey.Staff at hotel handled situation as best they could as there was clearly no rooms. Have been put in a four star next door which is very average. We have been promised to be given an upgraded room, meals and breakfasts as compensation as rooms apparently available tomorrow. Let's see whether the Hotel can redeem itself. Still ruined first day of a 3 day visit Malcolm
Upon recommendation of a local, we had a drink on the Grand Canal one afternoon. It was fabulous. You can watch Venetian and tourist life go by right I front of your eyes! There is a traghetto stop near by who was busy as well. A Prosecco, Spritz and frizzanre were 34 euro.....well worth it. Beware of the seagulls!

We had a standard double on the first floor. Gorgeous Venetian decor- you really feel like you're in Italy! We had a small lean out window that you could see the grand canal from round the side. Deducted one star for the lacklustre welcome when wet arrived. It was midnight, but, still....! Roof top bar is advertised but wasn't open during stay.

A very special hotel with terrace on the Grand Canal, 2 minutes from Ca d'Oro and the vaporetto stop. Beautiful bedrooms and stunning public rooms with frescoed ceilings. Excellent breakfast buffet & delightful staff.
