Ca' Sagredo Hotel in Venice, Italy
On the edge of the Grand Canal, five-star Ca' Sagredo Hotel holds the legacy of one of the most prominent noble families in Venice. The Sagredos bought the palace in the middle of the 17th Century and assembled an art collection of more than 800 paintings and 2,000 drawings dating from the Renaissance. Original art and antiques envelop guests during a stay that's more akin to time travel than a holiday. Upgrade to a suite for even plusher surroundings – the towering wardrobes in the Library Suite used to house Zaccaria Sagredo's literary collection.
Run your hands over the gold leafing on the edges of your royal bed as you wake up and stretch. Eschew the crowded museums in Venice and descend the hotel’s grand staircase instead. Get absorbed in masterpieces by Nicolò Bambini, Giambattista Piepolo and Sebastiano Ricci. Listen to the faraway notes of a piano player in the salon. Dine on fresh row fish from the Rialto market while watching gondolas navigate the Grand Canal.

Reviews for Ca' Sagredo Hotel
Staying for 3 nights in this beautiful hotel close to the Rialto Bridge. Central for reaching everywhere and 2 minutes from picking up the Free Venice Walking Tour which you can book online. Well worth doing on day 1 to learn how not to get ripped off. Some great restaurants close by where the locals go so excellent food and very cheap. We had a room on the 3 rd floor and room attended day and evening coming in to close the shutters and curtains. Eat buffet breakfast to the wonderful sound of Andre Bocelli! How great is that. Finally the bed and pillows are so comfortable to ensure a wonderful nights sleep. Well done to all the staff. Top 5 star. Hotel well worth the stay.

Hotel definitely should not be rated 5 star. I reported to reception that the bed was super uncomfortable, the mattress was worn, which meant you would roll into the center. We never had a decent nights sleep. On entering the hotel, the smell hits you full on in your face, it stinks. Our room was large, and cleaned well. The location of the hotel is good. I would not return, nor recommend.

This hotel is conveniently located not far from the Rialto bridge. The interior of this former palace is completely stunning and fitting for a romantic getaway in Venice. Our room was the only one on floor 2A, it was beautiful, although lacking any view, however this didn't really matter to us. The room was well equipped with nice toiletries, good wifi and the housekeeping team ensured that it was immaculately kept. All the staff were all very polite and helpful whenever we needed suggestions or directions. We only ate breakfast in the hotel, which to be honest was disappointing for a 5 star. The breakfast buffet was very limited and the cooked food was stone cold, not what you expect. Still, we forgave all this because of the exceptional surroundings and the gentle opera music at throughout. We found drinks in the bar very expensive (25 euros for 2) so tended to enjoy drinks and meals out at the numerous great restaurants and bars. There is a very good supermarket just down from the hotel which is where we bought a great bottle of prosecco for 6 euros! Overall we had a fabulous stay here and wouldn't hesitate to return.

My wife is extremely allergic to gluten and lactose. We announced this to the waiter and we asked for a boiled fish. After the dinner my wife started developing symptoms of a serious gluten exposure. I do not understand how this happened, but we have enough experience to identify the problem beyond any doubts. Apart from that, everything else was excellent and exquisite... but our vacation in Venice was almost spoiled.

Stayed here for 3 nights as a 60th birthday surprise from my husband. We arrived by private transfer straight to the front of the hotel and were welcomed by the receptionist ( so sorry I cannot remember her name I think maybe Domiacini?. We were shown into a lovely room but wished it looked out into the water. Breakfast was included and I have to say there was so much choice.....fresh fruit, yoghurt, cereal, croissants, pastries, meats, cheeses and bacon, sausage and the best scrambled eggs. The staff were so lovely especially the lady who welcomed us into the breakfast room. While eating breakfast Andrea Bocelli was playing in the background.........I felt like I was in heaven. On my birthday the breakfast waitress greeted me with Happy Birthday and Prosecco and again Andrea Bocelli playing in the background. The music room is beautiful and the art work all around the hotel was stunning. The chandeliers were exquisite. I would recommend this hotel as it was so central to everywhere you would want to see. Make sure you visit the Bacaro Jazz bar it's amazing. Don't bother with Harry's bar over priced and over rated.
