Reviews for Hilton Molino Stucky Venice

Stay for the view and leave with a lasting memory

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 20 hours ago

A beautifully appointed hotel on the other side where there’s not a lot of people is a perfect base to have when travelling to a place full of tourists like Venice. The Hilton Hotel Molino Stucky ticks all the boxes. The staff are all friendly and helpful. The room is beautiful and the view is unmatched. For a fee, you can take a water taxi that goes every 30 mins or so everyday to the other side. If there are things that would maybe make this a 5 star review, that would be improving on the Executive Lounge and the Breakfast offerings. There is a lot of potential there to make this an even more enjoyable experience if those two get an overhaul. Right now it is not at the level that it should be to merit a 5 star rating. Other than that, this hotel is perfect in many ways.

The Best Hotel Experience in Italy in the Most Unique City in the worls

The Molino Stucky is more impressive in real life than the photos let on. Nestled between two ferry stops (Sacca Fisola and Palanca, and a connection to the parking garages in Trochetto), it has the best location in Vence, close enough to see the views and far enough from the commotion of "downtown Venice." The building which was a flour mill, has been recently renovated and looks amazing, the staff is friendly, accommodating and knowledgable with ideas of where and how to go around Venice. The hotel has a shuttle, which we did not use. The breakfast is a decadent culinary marvel that includes raw honey in a comb, a parmesan wheel, chocolate fondue, excellent cold cuts, cheese platters, pastries, and more. The rooftop bar is a place to relax at the end of the day and watch the sunset in this fantastic place called Venice.

Nice... but...

Wonderful staff and beautiful property. However... you MUST use a boat to get there... NO bridge! It's €15 per person per stay to use hotel shuttle and it doesn't run all day all locations. I used the public boats twice because shuttle wasn't available.

Out of this world!

Arrived late at night so took the personal transfer option from the airport - arriving by speedboat to the beautiful floodlit building set the 007 tone for my weekend! Amazing hotel and staff were outstanding - able to answer all my questions, book a concert within minutes, and appreciated all the little extras, including the Prosecco, in my room. Huge, very comfy bed and fantastic well-equipped-with-extras bathroom. Recommend going for the breakfast buffet - easily the biggest, most varied I’ve ever experienced, and you won’t need to eat for the rest of the day. My kids had thoughtfully surprised me with a bar tab (for Mother’s Day) so made good use of the rooftop bar and enjoyed the views - almost but not quite as spectacular as those from my room … book room 702 and thank me later!!

Lovely experience

We loved our stay at this hotel. It was our first time in Venice and in Italy. The reception staff were friendly and helpful and explained how the hotel shuttle worked and suggested sites to see in Venice. They upgraded our room and delivered our luggage to the room. Our room was clean, had adequate storage and a clean bathroom with Evelyn and Crabtree soap, body wash, shampoo and conditioner. The shower was lovely. The only issue was water would leak out of the shower onto the bathroom floor because of the half glass enclosure, but the Hotel cleaning staff placed a rolled up towel just inside the entrance to the shower to prevent water from going everywhere. It helped. We did not make use of the bidet. The bed slept great. Linens were nice. We went up to the rooftop bar but only to take skyline photos. One night we ate in the restaurant downstairs in the lobby. IMO the food was overpriced, but the breakfast was nothing short of amazing. From the honeycomb dripping honey into a bowl, to freshly made waffles, cheeses, dried meats, muffins, yogurts, croissants, samosas, jellies, all kinds of breads and cereals, etc the selection was unbelievable and well worth 30 euros per person. We’ve never stayed in a nicer hotel and we would certainly stay there again. The housekeeping staff was the nicest I’ve ever seen with friendly smiles and sincere greetings. Thanks, Hilton Molino Stucky Hotel for a great experience. We will be married 30 years next year and considered this to be an early anniversary trip. Venice in early April has mild temperatures, and less tourists. It didn’t rain! We also went to Murano Island for the glass blowing demonstration that the hotel organized, and took public transport to Burano Island. Highly recommend.
