Hotel Bauer in Venice, Italy

Bauer L'Hotel melds age-old architecture with a modern design to achieve a fine expression of contemporary Venetian living. Art deco touches, hand-woven fabrics by Bevilacqua and Rubelli and sculptures made by local artisans lend a timeless feel to common spaces, while rooms are notably large and outfitted in finery – gaze up at an ornately embellished ceiling while soaking in a bath made from Italian marble.

Get lost in Venice's maze of walkways and canals. Tour the Grand Canal in a vaporetto, letting your imagination go back to the days when the waterway was teeming with merchants and cargo ships. Walk the shopping boulevard from the Rialto Bridge to St. Mark's Square. Glam up for dinner at the hotel's gourmet restaurant De Pisis, feasting on squid risotto in its black ink.

Great location for walking the city, visiting Doges Palace or that moseven just taking a gondola ride- literally steps from the lobby. Right on the Grand Canal, have breakfast with excellent views! Only a very short walk to Doges Palace. Room was just perfect and inviting, very comfortable beds. Staff very friendly. I loved that we had a real key! It seems that most hotels now have electronic keys. Highly recommend....

I stayed in this small charming hotel with my sister and my mother. Initially we ordered a superior room but at arrival hotel has upgraded our room to a junior suite for free. Hospitality is high, we were treated so good. Hotel personnel is very polite, smiling and we felt comfortable. Room was so elegant and this hotel is the only that has a terrace restaurant. The view is crazy beautiful. Breakfast, elegant room, personnel, everything was great. Hotel is in the center and easy to get all interesting places of Venice on foot. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone whether you travel alone, with your lover or a family.

Venice is a very unique and interesting city. We only have 2 nights to stay in Venice so we decided to stay nearby San Marco Square. The room is not big but it's good for two adults. If you have kids you need to book 2 room and request for a connecting rooms. Breakfast is great and you can sit outside to enjoy the grand canal view!

The most horrendous hotel I have stayed in my LIFE! We were in the suite room but our bathrooms were outdated .The less said about the service the better. The staff had a very bad attitude and was totally unfriendly and unhelpful .I gave never come across a more horrible hotel.I even saw other guests facing the same problem at the reception. For the amount of money they charge versus what they offer ...its a thumbs down!Would never ever recommend this hotel to anyone!

I enjoyed our stay at this hotel- the staff was accommodating and delightful. The room was okay, a bit dated and worn which mostly showed in the bathroom. I would stay again, the location was fantastic.
