Hotel Bauer in Venice, Italy

Bauer L'Hotel melds age-old architecture with a modern design to achieve a fine expression of contemporary Venetian living. Art deco touches, hand-woven fabrics by Bevilacqua and Rubelli and sculptures made by local artisans lend a timeless feel to common spaces, while rooms are notably large and outfitted in finery – gaze up at an ornately embellished ceiling while soaking in a bath made from Italian marble.

Get lost in Venice's maze of walkways and canals. Tour the Grand Canal in a vaporetto, letting your imagination go back to the days when the waterway was teeming with merchants and cargo ships. Walk the shopping boulevard from the Rialto Bridge to St. Mark's Square. Glam up for dinner at the hotel's gourmet restaurant De Pisis, feasting on squid risotto in its black ink.

Amazing hotel, we had breakfast with canal views every morning! We booked to go to the Murano and Burano glass islands via water taxi through the hotel. Amazing service and our family had a wonderful stay

From the minute we walked into this hotel, the day before New Years Eve it was magical. The foyer was beautiful, there were Christmas trees everywhere and the Staff couldn’t do enough for you. Our first breakfast was a delight, sat in a window overlooking the Grand Canal and watching the gondolas. The staff at breakfast were so helpful and genuinely welcoming. The whole hotel had a lovely ambience about it. The view from the top terrace, which we visited, was amazing and we took some remarkable photos. Our room was not large but was warm and beautifully furnished and kept spotlessly clean, the wi fi was a bit hit and miss but this is Venice. Although we didn’t have a Canal View we could hear the gondoliers singing in the smaller canal below us. We thoroughly enjoyed our four days and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it, it is a truly lovely hotel with brilliant staff.

THIS HOTEL WAS ONE OF THE BEST WE HAVE EVER STAYED AT ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD. 6 * SERVICE FROM MANAGEMENT & STAFF. Our room was stunning, overlooking the Grande Canal with a Romeo & Juliet balcony from which to view "All of Venice". Decor was outstanding in that Over The Top (But classy not garish) way that only Kings & Queens thought was normal so it was wonderful to be transported to another era that is so sadly missing today in this hurried fast food junk emporium we are creating. The MANAGEMENT & staff are true hospitlity SUPER-STARS who never put a foot wrong & delivered 6 * Star Service. Gracious and 100 % Guest focussed with with a class & elegance that is missing from most high end hotels today ! These people are my OUTSTANDING HOSPITALITY GOLDEN STANDARD Examples world - wide. OUTSTANDING !! I absolutely loved this hotel & I would stay here again anytime. A very special Hotel to me and something you very seldom find today anymore. After our stay here we moved to another top competitor hotel who upgraded us to a junior presidential suite but although a stunning hotel with an enormous suite & private terrace, it lacked the GRACIOUSNESS that this management had. And THAT MONEY can't buy.

We recently stayed at the hotel and we were not impressed and did not think the hotel was anywhere close to a 5 star hotel. After reading all of the other comments I might think that I stayed at a totally different hotel! Everything was mediocre at best- room (dark and dreary) lobby-tired. The only good part of the hotel was the location-- Sorry, but need to be honest.

A 25th anniversary trip. Greeted by Claudia who personally showed us to our room. We had been given an upgrade, a chilled bottle of Prosecco and a congratulatory message from the management awaited us in a beautifully appointed room overlooking one of the canals. Room had a balcony with table and chairs and we were often serenaded by the goldoliers setting off from the gondola station. Large room, superb bathroom with the best water pressure we have ever encountered in a hotel! Spotlessly clean, well equipped, good air conditioning/ heating, fairy reliable wifi. Breakfast good, quality products. We usually got a table looking out onto the Grand Canal. Staff were the best, each and every one were friendly, helpful and caring. The Christmas decorations deserve a mention too - so beautiful and a credit to whoever did them.
