We stayed here using SPG points. We were pleasantly surprised at how nice the room was with points. Both the bedroom and bathroom were spacious (an understatement) and luxurious. We liked that one can contact the concierge through WhatsApp. The hotel is easily accessible through the public boats. We took a private speedboat when we departed, which was easily arranged through the hotel. It's expensive but we felt it was worth the splurge for the experience and ease. Our favorite part of staying here (and what I had been most excited about from the photos online) was breakfast on the terrace overlooking the Canal. It was picture perfect! The food was delicious and watching the gondolas go by and hearing their serenades was one of my favorite memories of Venice.

My friend brought me here for a birthday meal /celebration on my first trip to Venice. Everything about the restaurant and terrace was just perfect. A great spot to watch the world go by and enjoy beautiful food. I had the Hemingway risotto - a dish that has been on the menu for 80 years, a buttery, creamy rice dish with lobster and scampi followed by turbot cooked with tomatoes and orange which was delightful. A few cheeses for dessert and a lovely little cake. All around us people were enjoying the summer sun and ask dusk turned to darkness the terrace lighting added a special touch. Definitely recommend. Thank you to our waiters Valentino and Giovanni you were so thoughtful and attentive.

We flew to Venice as one of my dearest friends 50 before 50 adventures and of course The Gritti Palace just had to be done. Style, class, refinement and location, location, location. Situated just along from San Marco with a prime spot on the grand canal it makes a perfect place for dinning on the terrace, watching all the boats on the canal. We were looked after by two of the loveliest friendly waiters one could hope to meet Giovanni and Valentino who joined in the spirit of the occasion, bringing cake and candles, we all know you can be the snazziest hotel in the world but if you don't have great staff then nights like this are easily forgotten. Brilliant all round go I hope you enjoy it as much as we did Xx

We stayed here using Starwood points, and loved it. The staff was extremely helpful, and the room was luxurious and spacious. The location was great as it's walkable to most anywhere, but a bit away from the crazy touristy parts of the city. Sitting on the patio enjoying a spritz in the afternoon - heavenly.

The Gritti palace is the true definition of luxury. The lobby is stunning and has many seating areas. The rooms are larger than most Euro hotels. The sheets felt like butter and the pillows are the finest down. We ate breakfast every morning on the terrace overlooking the Grand Canal. BREATHTAKING! This property is pricey, but worth every penny. It was our 30th anniversary and worth the splurge.
