Stayed here for four nights in a Junior suite. Cannot fault the place - perfect location, stunning room, wonderful staff and an overall feel of calm luxury. An absolute pleasure to return here at the end of a busy day sightseeing.

We stayed at the Metropole for 3 nights B&B , we caught the water bus and took the blue line €15 each , took over an hour n half to get to hotel, but on are return we took the water taxi arranged by the hotel which cost €120 but worth it as only 25 minutes! The hotel was like a museum over 400 years old , it was beautiful couldn't fault it , the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was amazing 👌🏼 The hotel was a 5 minute walk to St Marks square, 1 minute walk to the Bridge of Sigh The only fault of the hotel was the bed & pillows they were very hard 🙁 probably good for some people but not for me ! And also they do a free trip to Murano the glass factory, don't go unless you want to spend a load of money on beautiful chandelier's etc very very intimidating!! Just go to Burano that was beautiful well worth a visit All in all I would highly recommend this hotel amazing!!!

We stayed for 4 days during the biennale and as such the place was busy and prices more expensive than other times. I loved the hotel - the decor and art collection were fascinating, and it was certainly a classy place. The staff were very friendly and attentive. I would recommend, although I did have a few little gripes: The air con wasn't working all over the hotel and never really got an explanation for it. It was very hot and as our room was on the front it was too noisy to open the windows at night. We were moved to a room at the back eventually but as this overlooked the restaurant garden it wasn't really any quieter. The restaurant was nice and breakfasts were great, but eating dinner in the hotel was eye-wateringly expensive. We did it once for the experience but found it a little underwhelming for a michelin star place and ate out locally the rest of the time.

Stayed for 2 nights in February. Excellent hotel - service fantastic, very relaxing atmosphere and everything you need in room. Location 5 minutes from St Mark’s was great and lots of excellent restaurants and bars within short walk. Only thing, is they don’t have irons in the rooms and do not supply them but offer an ironing service instead! Breakfast was excellent lots of choice and even hot option if you wanted it. Would definitely stay here again 😃
