The city .of Venice is history on steroids. This hotel is part of that history and charm I have never experienced.Quality of service, location and amenities is amazing.Rooms are well decorated with modern conviences.Located in the middle of the action and A1 staffing.I will return and this hotel was one of the reasons why!

What was supposed to be an "Exclusive suite with lagoon view" was disappointing. Also had to endure hours of loud music every night and voices that come up from the Oriental Bar immediately below the room, and also the loud noise of cleaning the first morning at a very early hour in the morning. Very noisy as it is right next to the very busy promenade. Also, the lagoon view is not the view we saw in the pictures when we booked. We would call it a partial view with the room being on a very low floor and also as the water bus station is right in the way of the view, and the bridge over the canal practically in front of the window. Be careful to check what floor your room is on when you book! Also complained to the CEO of the hotel, who never replied...

Absolutely love this Hotel and I always make sure to pay it a visit every time I'm in Venice. Such character and ambiance it's a world apart when you enter the front door - check out the collection of antiquities in the hallway on the way to the restaurant. Bar is fab and the Aperol Spritz is not cheap but definitely worth it for the overall experience !

This is possibly my favorite bar, ever! The bartender made me a dirty martini and used a perfumer to add the vermouth. My friend ordered something I don't know the name, but please see the pictures. I can not recommend this bar enough. Oh, and it's completely welcoming, unpretentious and absolutely gorgeous inside as well!

The Metropole hotel is old and has very dark interiors. The room was small and the walls were thin (I could hear my neighbor's television). The bathroom is small but modern with nice amenities. The staff is wonderful and willing to help. It is located on a busy area but you do not hear the people once you are in the hotel.
