This hotel by far is the best that I've stayed in while visiting Italy. It is the perfect location in Venice halfway between the St Marks Square and the waterfront where the water buses & taxi's are located. Lots of shops & restaurants around and close walking distance to all the points of interest.

This hotel is fantastic. The location is great, between Rialto and St. Marks Square- just a ten min walk to both. There are reasonable restaurants on the same street and fantastic gelato also. We were taken to our room which had been upgraded to the next level room with a canal view. The room was huge and had everything you could need. It was impeccably clean. Staying in this hotel was a bonus to our time in Venice and made our holiday better, as with it being in the centre we could easily return to drop off purchases etc and it was a haven at night, after our day of walking the streets of Venice. Breakfast was great too.

By far the worst meal in Venice. The prix fix meal is awful. I ordered the chicken and it was super dry and the caprese salad was straight mush. My tiramisu also had saran wrap on the in it of which I chewed on and to make matters worse they did not attempt to make the situation better at all. They think they can charge a lot of money for the meal since they are near St. Marks square. They also tried to charge us for a bottle of aqua we did not order but was on the table. Unfortunately this was our last meal in Venice and have to remember Venice by that meal.

Venice - what a beautiful place to visit. Palace Bonvecchiati is in a great location close to the Rialto Bridge and close to San Marco square. Our family stayed in an adjoining Double Executive room, which after looking at the photos I was a little bit sceptical about given the fire engine red carpet - but fortunately upon opening the door the carpet was a nice blue/grey colour and very calming. The room was huge and modern really lovely. The bathrooms were very nice but they could definitely do with shower screens as the water ended up everywhere. We didn't have a view however I knew that prior to our arrival so it didn't bother me - however I can imagine a view of the canal would have been lovely. The breakfast was interesting as it was in the adjoining hotel - the breakfast was ok though my son ended up getting sick the day we left from something he ate so that wasn't good as he was sick for the whole 6 hour flight to our next destination. The other issue we had was with a recommendation by the reception staff to a restaurant which ended up ripping us off, after complaining about our experience the hotel staff did make good on the experience so that made us feel better. All in all it was a very nice Hotel, we liked our room and Venice was as beautiful as I had imagined.
