This hotel is in the perfect Location in my opinion. It is located minutes walk from Saint Marks Square from one side of the hotel and minute to Rialto Bridge in the other side. It is located in the middle of everything with great shopping nearby. You can truly experience Venice from this hotel. The hotel is one of the very few modern themed hotels as most are dated in Venice. The rooms aren’t that spacious but good for a few nights.

We stayed for 3 nights, and we loved our time here. Minutes from San Marco square and Rialto Bridge, perfect for exploring Venice. They upgraded us from a deluxe room to a junior suite which had all the normal facilities big TV, mini bar, luxury marble bath etc. All very clean, and the room staff prepared the bed every evening. On the first day we had lunch at the Terrace restaurant which is in their sister hotel next door. Staff were very friendly but the food was not up to the standard we had later in the holiday at some excellent restaurants -Antico Calice, & Al Mercanti - all recommended by the reception staff and literally minutes away. The breakfast is a buffet, plentiful with a good range. Again staff very friendly and helpful but at peak times, they could have done with an extra staff member to help. We hired the spa which is a jacuzzi, sauna and steam room. They seem to rent it out by the hour to guests so you have to book your slot and you get the whole spa to yourself. Lovely and good facilities but could have done with some soap in the shower, and some incense in the sauna & steam room. We booked a private water taxi back to the airport and it stops right next to the reception area - much the best way to arrive and leave. Coates about 130 euros and well worth it. On arrival we used a shared water taxi that dropped us off at the Rialto Bridge and we got lost trying to get to the hotel. Final tip go on the Free Venice walking tour - absolutely brilliant!

As a group we have just enjoyed 4 fantastic nights at this excellent hotel. Faultless rooms and a location that is central to everything. Our water taxi delivered us directly to their own dock! Huge breakfast choices and attentive staff. Fully recommended. Ugo on front desk extremely helpful and capable. R Affleck

We really liked this hotel. Our room was quiet, the location was great and the housekeeping team really made sure that we didn't need anything else. Breakfast was ok, but not amazing and the front desk staff were really quite rude. There is no restaurant and no real bar - other than what can be found at their sister hotel which is best avoided.

Palace Bonvecchiati is a beautiful hotel -- clean and classy -- near the piazza San Marcos (a very convenient and special location). Breakfasts offered a good variety and was excellent. We also dined at the restaurant in the hotel ("La Terrazza") and it was delicious. The caprese salad was both beautiful and delicious. I had the seafood risotto alla pescatora, and it was fantastic. Well worth the visit.
