Most frustrating and disappointing experience I have ever had at a so called 5 star hotel spa. After a very stressful month dealing with personal and work issues, I saved up the money to book a trip to stay at Sparkling Hill and have a Crystal Facial (the most prestigious on their menu) at their KurSpa. Led into the room for my 4:30pm appointment, it seemed promising when the aesthetician used a series of liquids to determine the status of my skin. But it all went downhill from there... she did not do a thorough cleaning of my skin even though I had mentioned I may not have fully removed my makeup prior to, and following my treatment I could still see residual make up on my face. No steaming, no exfoliation, and no extraction was ever done, which I had always expected with this type of service. The lady mentioned that with the Crystal facial being the best treatment I would be receiving two masks. I had assumed this would be one after another with different benefits but turns out this was just a simple paper mask on my eyes with some type of moisturizing gel on my face. She left this on for probably over 20 minutes and I got so restless I was about to sit up during this treatment. When she finally returned she said that was the end. Advertised as a 90 minute experience I looked at the clock at this point and it was only 5:40pm, meaning I was only provided 70 mins of treatment a whole 20 mins less than what I am to pay for! Not to mention during this entire experience she continuously tried to sell me products. Repeating over and over again about how I needed them and how she used them everyday. With my past facial experiences this "pushing" of product should occur FOLLOWING the treatment where the aesthetician can sit down with their customer and explain the products used and their benefits. The constant pushing of product during the treatment made it the complete opposite of relaxing. What made it worse was that because check in wasn't until 4pm this was the first thing I was able to experience at Sparkling Hill. Thus my whole experience at this "resort" was completely ruined. I proceeded to try to enjoy my time at their infinity pool following the facial but instead spent it crying about how I had wasted my hard earned money and ended up with disappointment instead. The only saving moment was that Patrice? from the front desk was able to discount my treatment by 50% to make up for my disappointment. But even at 50% the disappointment was NOT WORTH IT. Will never EVER return.

For us this was an opportunity to celebrate 2 special events in one place. We invited my parents who were celebrating their 44th wedding anniversary and we also my fiancee's birthday. The rooms are modern and the bed was the most comfortable I have ever slept in. Once you do manage to get up, they have a great breakfast buffet with fresh pastries, smoothies, cheeses, eggs, sausages and pretty much everything you could want. The facilities are great and over the biggest variety of saunas I have ever seen. The outdoor infinity pool overlooks the lake and mountains and if you prefer, the indoor pool and hot tub are there for your enjoyment too. Already looking forward to my next visit!

The rooms are very comfortable. The multiple saunas and spas are great. Last winter the best part was swimming and lounging in the indoor/outdoor pool. The outside pool area becomes an infinity pool on top of a hill overlooking Okanagan Lake. It started to snow and the views were amazing. The pool was so warm that no one got cold! The buffet breakfast was good but nothing special. Service was excellent.

This was my second visit to Sparkling Hills Resort. I found the spa and saunas most enjoyable and visited them often but wished they were open for the full day, they currently close mid-day and open again in the evening. Regrettably the Cryo Cold Room was not operational and nobody let us know that prior to our arrival. I liked the kneipp hydrotherapy circuit and had a pedicure that was ok but nothing to write home about. But the absolute worst was the food, it was pricy and I thought it was well below the standard for this type of experience. I would go again but would plan dinners at the nearby golf course. And although we made mention that we were celebrating a milestone birthday when we booked the hotel, there was absolutely no recognition of it. Perhaps a card would have been nice.

We had a beautiful room with view to the mountain, excellent breakfast buffet, very friendly staff, we had no time to enjoy the facility, since it was just a short stay. I loved the bathtub close to the window with the beautiful view to the mountains.
