Reviews for Due Torri Hotel

Fabulous hotel!

What an absolute gem of a hotel! Not only is it perfectly located in the heart of the city and close to all the main sites but the hotel itself is beautiful. The best part was the staff, who just made our whole holiday perfect, such and warm welcome and always so helpful. Will definitely be going back.

Well Located

Stayed for five nights until 31st December. All photos and descriptions of hotel online are factual. It is well located, particularly for a walking tourist - hotel to Juliet's tomb 35 minutes for example. However, in winter the rooftop area is closed, as is the courtyard, so bar, restaurant, and room service, only outlets for food/beverages. Prices quite a bit higher than local restaurants reflecting its status. Breakfast was full buffet at a cost of 36 Euros unless included as B & B. Hot food for vegetarian was scrambled egg, ready-made omelette, hash browns, and spinach - yes, spinach! Same for five days. Room had adequate wardrobe/drawer space. No tea/coffee facilities. Tv high up on wall, opposite bed. No English language tv programmes (all dubbed) apart from news channels CNN, BBC, Sky. No separate film channel for a fee. All very disappointing after a busy day visiting the sites and wanting to relax on the bed watching a film. A hotel of this standard ought to reconsider its entertainment offerings.

A nice respite in Verona

This is an excellent location for exploring the city. We particularly enjoyed the rooftop lounge where we had wine and appetizers. You can't beat it for a respite after walking and exploring all day. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The prices for room service were very high but there are good restaurants within a short distance. My wife and I recommend this hotel.

Perfect location - we will return!

The biggest advantage of this hotel is its location. It is right in the heart of Verona, situated on Piazza di St Anastasia, overlooking the Basilica of St Anastasia. All the sights and landmarks of Verona are within walking distance of this hotel, and it was easy to pop back to the hotel in the middle of the day to cool down and top up the suntan lotion. The hotel has an opulent feel, in keeping with its past as a former palace. We stayed in a Junior Suite which comprises a seating area with desk and bureau opening on to a queen-sized bedroom area and a lovely en-suite bathroom. The room was beautifully clean, spacious and cool overlooking the square, perfect. Dining and seating areas in the hotel are spacious. Breakfast was served in the upstairs restaurant offering buffet service. The selection was large, and the attentive staff were on hand if you couldn’t find exactly what you wanted. We had drinks on the Rooftop Terrace on evening, a must do. The view of Verona was beautiful by night, and once again, the staff were super attentive. In fact, all the staff were friendly and very helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Every aspect of the Due Torri is subtle and classy, a wonderful 5-star experience. We will return!

Not good...waste of money and time.

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 7 months ago

This property is old, dingy, tired and stuck in another time zone. The property boasted itself to be a 5 stars hotel but my opinion is that it is not. It fails in all category. We moved out after one night to a significantly better hotel just minutes away. I think my action speaks for the rating. I would not recommend it to my friends and families who may be visiting Verona, Italy.
