A lovely, historic hotel built on ancient ruins, cleverly incorporated in the building. Friendly and helpful staff, lovely common areas including a bar, lounge and a pool table. Breakfast was more than adequate although not a huge selection. The rooms were beautifully furnished but quite small, as was the bathroom. However the bed was extremely comfortable and the shutter windows opened to overlook the small courtyard. There was also a lovely welcome gift of a tin of local olive oil. The hotel is situated inside the ancient walls and a short bus ride from the rail station. From the hotel, it a short stroll to the main piazza, markets, shops, restaurants, Juliet's statue and the balcony and the other main sights. A little further is the beautiful river and a funicular to the Castel San Pietro, overlooking the old city. Verona also has a beautiful Arena/Colosseum, with a small park, beautiful buildings and many restaurants overlooking it. Quite magnificent. We have to say what an unexpected surprise Verona was, as it was a last minute inclusion in our itinerary. The Palazzo Hotel is an ideal place to stay and experience the wonderful city of Verona.

Palazzo Victoria was everything you vould wish for in a hotel of this standard. The staff went out of their way to help us with any problems we had. Our room was perfect roomy light spacious. The bathroom was huge, the products were lovely to use. Breakfast was a wonderful selection of treats each morning. Very well located with the Arena, shopping streets, fantastic resturants snd many more attractions all within a few minutes walk. Thankyou again we loved Verona.

This hotel is in a prime location for Verona for tourist sights and location. It is a nice hotel with comfy rooms. The breakfast was very nice and the coffee went down well. The only thing negative I would say about this hotel is that on a Friday night it is open to the public for a disco and a dee jay and the music went on till midnight and my room 145 was on top of it not being a kill not but if you been out all day and home late at night you really needed your sleep so yes it kept me awake till gone midnight which was not idea due to an early start in the morning.knowing this was every Friday night it is very unfair to place guests on floor one above the night club? This hotel is 25 minutes away from. The train station so one day we went to Venice which is an hour away another day lake garda which was 15 mins away and on the last day took.a train to.milan which is hour and 15 mins away. So location is great however if you book for a Friday night on first floor you will not get an early night ......

When you enter the reception it feel you with confidence. It is large and bright and has got a couple of nice design touches. However, we stayed in "Delux room" which I think is simply standard double. The room was at the back of the hotel which I think is an extension to the original building. The hall ways are positively sparse with concrete floors occasionally covered by old rugs and concrete wall more in "brutalist" style rather than opulence of Italian palazzo. Rooms was not bad size but furnishing were very worn and cleaning standard could be better, the floor in the bathroom was positively black. Breakfast was acceptable but I preferred to go to a local caffe - check out Rialto Cafe just by the city wall - as the coffee and pastries in the cafe were much nicer than what was served in the hotel. Overall, I regretted booking this hotel as it was very overpriced compare to what is available elsewhere in Verona.
