Reviews for Palazzo Victoria
The hotel is really well located and everything in the city is walkable. we found the staff cordial and quite helpful but they weren't 'friendly' as others have mentioned. Our room was pleasant although the outlook was poor. The bathroom looked wonderful but the shower always leaked all over the floor. Breakfast was good although we weren't ever told that we could have anything cooked for us. We were not allowed in the hotel bar one evening as there was a private function going on, whilst it didn't particularly bother us we should have been told and it seems a strange practice.

It is really a shame that a 5 star hotel and one of the most well located hotels in the world hires such a bad staff specially for the reception. The Italians are nice and humble but the Indians are really bad and arrogant. I choose this hotel just to have a good time with my wife in the most romantic city in the world Unfortunately I was bad treated since my arrival. I chose the hotel just because in all the sites and social medias claims to have a parking service. I came from Cortina d’Ampezzo by car with three bags. The receptionist told me that the hotel have just seven parking spaces and that I had to park in a public parking nearby, the weather was 3 degrees celsius and raining. I return to the hotel wet and I didn’t had any assistance with my luggage. When I complain to the tall Indian receptionist he said: IT’S NOT THAT FAR. It’s was the most disrespectful and untrained posture by a receptionist that I heard in my entire life. The next day I had to pickup my car I ask him if I was able to park inside the hotel, He just laughed and said: I told you last night that you could park here. Lies and disrespect, unfortunately no one apologize to me and the only reason the hotel let me park inside was when I threatened to sue the Hotel. I don’t recommend this Hotel to anyone. Romans ruins, good location and nice TV channels doesn’t make a 5 star hotel, the staff needs to be at the same level and the level of this staff it is worse than a 2 star hotel.
The hotel is on excellent location very close to Arena and pedestrian zone of Verona. Breakfast is good. But definitely this is not a 5 star hotel in any field, beside location and cozy lobby do not expect anything else to be with high standards,

We booked a double room here for three nights on a work/leisure trip. When we arrived we had unexpectedly been upgrades to a deluxe suite. This is a first for us. We were shown to our room and our case was bought up for us. It had a nice separate sitting area with chairs and a desk with fridge. Then through to the bedroom with a very comfy bed where the sheets were changed every day. Through to a Jacuzzi bathroom and then a separate toilet and shower room. This was very central and we were able to walk every where. Breakfast was good with quite a lot of variety. We thought we saw an omelette being made but did not have any information that that was available. This would be a good suggestion to have on the breakfast table to let guests know what is available. We had a lovely meal in the restaurant one night. Which although was quite pricy we had all sorts of different courses(that we hadn't ordered) appear for us to eat, it was quite something. My only critique would be that there are lots of letters by the foods indicating something but no guide to tell you what these mean, also they was no obvious vegetarian option. I would echo that I have stayed in friendlier hotels although we didn't find the staff rude, I just put it down the language barrier. I would also echo that for some reason you cannot book a taxi you have to go to reception when you want one and they call, so ours came very quickly but there is no guarantee of this, bit odd.

I had the unlucky idea to book a delux and grand delux stay fro three days in this (presumably) 5* hotel falling in a terrible trap. I booked for the celbration of the important birthday of two of my best friends and we experience a terrible service. Despite my care in calling the hotel in advance and my various emails, this estabilishment lacks the basic customer service and has none customer care. Staff is unprepared and rude at best. The rooms, far from delux and grand delux were simply small standard rooms. Communication with reception staff and management was painful, difficult and unpleasent during and after our stay. We overpaid for a hotel experience that did not match out expectations. The hotel looks pretty in the pictures and the building has a nice central position but everything else is not up to 5* standards. I founde much better accomodation in Verona for a fraction of the price with a much better service. I advise you go elsewhere.
