Hotel Sacher Vienna is one of the world’s great luxury hotels in one of Europe’s most culturally significant cities: the birthplace of psychoanalysis and a city of musicians, artists, philosophers and architects. Our famous guests have included John F. Kennedy, Indira Gandhi and Queen Elizabeth. We are proud of our history and our location, and true to our traditions.

Cafe Sacher was on my list of things to do on our trip to Vienna. There was a long queue so we went to the Hotel Bar which was beautiful. Had a drink and got the Sacher Torte (delicious). Upon ordering another drink the waiter said a family who heard me say our first visit to Vienna had paid for our drinks and cake as a gift to show their hospitality. What a wonderful thing to do, thank you so much. We of course had more drinks and came back on our second night. Beautiful and classy hotel with wonderful staff. You all made our visit to Vienna very special.

An exceptional stay from start to finish. From the moment we arrived until we left we were treated with the outmost respect, professionalism and warmth from every member of staff. The rooms are wonderful, very well appointed with fabulously ornate bathrooms and exceptional cakes and pastries in our room upon arrival. Breakfast was very good and we had drinks in the bar which were prepared by very well trained barmen. It was so refreshing to stay in a hotel in Europe that exuded class, sophistication and old days charm and approach to genuine customer service and hospitality, a lot of the big American chains could learn a lot from staying here and seeing how it should be done. Well done Sacher, don't ever change.

It was a dream come true! I grew up in Los Angeles, and visited Vienna every summer, staying in a dingy little apartment on Bosendorferstrasse. Every night as my family and i walked to the Stephans platz we'd pass hotel Sacher and i'd dream of one day being able to stay there. At long last my husband and i did, this past September. It was everything i dreamed of. The staff were so courteous. (especially Marcus!) The decor so elegant and sumptuous. The chocolate and torte divine! I never wanted to leave.

The review I wrote yesterday should show it as a FIVE star review of a FIVE star experience at the Sacher Hotel, not the one star that shows! It was a wonderful place with a great staff. They saved our last day in Vienna! FIVE STARS!!!! Not the one star you show. I listed the hotel and the experience we had as FIVE stars!

Lovely hotel in a great location - Monet/picasso art gallery across the street, royal crypts a few mins walk away, Cafe Mozart just outside the hotel, opera house across the street, shops behind/around the hotel. Room was clean, room service great! We went when it was very hot (July, about 38oC) and the air con in the room didn't cope very well but this was probably due to it not having to regularly fight off this level of heat and we were told that due to increasing temperatures they were thinking of replacing their air con systems? However dont let that put you off because if it hadn't been for the ridiculous heat outside it would have been fine. Also when we phoned down, one of the girls brought us up a fan from the restaurant downstairs and it made all the difference, we slept soundly! She was literally an angel and so lovely and helpful! You can tell there is a great deal of history in this hotel and it's very classic and quite theatrical in places. Sacher cafe was very popular but we got taken straight in!
