Hotel Sans Souci Vienna

We opted to stay at the Hotel Sans Souci for 4 nights at the end of November and can honestly say it was one of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed in. It’s perfectly placed for hoping on the ubahn (underground) and is in realistic walking distance of most of Vienna’s highlights - probably takes approx. 15/20 mins to walk to the centre at a reasonable pace but if museums are your thing, then they’re right on the doorstep. The staff are genuinely friendly - always went out of their way to recommend easier ways to travel around the city and also made fantastic restaurant recommendations. Our junior suite was excellent - big comfy bed, seating area with additional desk, a bathroom with large bath plus a walk-in shower, separate room for the toilet and a large walk-in wardrobe with all the expected amenities - safe, fluffy robes (and I mean FLUFFY!!), complimentary slippers, iron and ironing board, shoe horn and clothes brush. They even had a Dyson hairdryer in the bathroom which was a plus ;-) Food at the hotel was also excellent - breakfast was a vast array of continental delights plus an excellent ‘cooked to order’ menu which all ran until 11am each week day (til 2pm at weekends!) and the evening menu was equally wonderful, especially the Wiener Schnitzel and potato salad - SO filling!! A nice touch is their ‘coffee service’ and here you can order any coffee and have it delivered to your room using the ‘room service’ function - all complimentary too. We didn’t get chance to use the spa facilities but hope to return very soon! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

The Sans Souci is an excellent hotel, with fabulous staff and great facilities. We stayed for 4 nights on a city break and also found the location ideal for the city centre, the museums and the metro / tram system. The pool and spa are wonderful and free to hotel guests. There was nothing to fault.

Just returned from a wonderful stay in Vienna at this superb hotel. It was a big birthday trip for me and him and it was fabulous. Every member of staff was truly excellent. The reception staff went out of their way to suggest restaurants and booked it for us. The bed was so comfortable and room and shower brilliant. Breakfast was everything you could wish for. We arrived late but they still managed to get us into their restaurant and I recommend the steak sandwich! Would not hesitate to recommend this hotel.

Beautiful hotel and wonderful staff. Cant recommend it enough. The little touches were lovely - chocolates and a card in the room on arrival, a fresh bottle of water each day, and a gift of popcorn when checking out

We stayed for a week, and this is our experience. This is an excellent hotel for a truly wonderful Vienna experience. The location is close to museums and public transportation is 50 yards from the hotel. The downtown Am Hof square is at a walkable distance of just under a mile and about 8 minutes by underground. The hotel is very nice and clean. The rooms are large with 12-foot-high ceilings and very spacious bathrooms. Bed was extremely comfortable. The staff is absolutely wonderful and efficient. Right from check-in to check-out, the experience was great. The most outstanding part of our experience was the breakfast at the Verandah restaurant. The food, coffee and service are truly exceptional and provided genuine Vienna experience. The breakfast hours are particularly convenient (until 11 am on weekdays and 2 pm on weekends) for the jet lagged. I really applaud the service at verandah provided by Julian, Christian, Isabella, Mia and Chiarra. You made us feel welcome and enhanced our Vienna vacation.
