We absolutely loved our stay at this hotel. Great location, everything within easy walking distance. Impeccable, delightful and efficient staff. The rooms are gorgeous with every possible thing you need taken care of, amazing attention to detail. Lovely fresh linens and pillows, comfortable beds and great bathrooms all very spacious and immaculately clean. Fabulous Spa and loved the interesting decor throughout. The restaurant is truly amazing, not only for breakfast but for dinner too, exceptional standard of food and service. A wonderful experience being a very intimate and friendly hotel, congratulations to the owner and staff. Book directly with the hotel and you will be pleasantly rewarded!

This is a lovely luxury hotel with wonderful staff though I'm not quite sure why all the men had to have beards - is that a house rule? The rooms are large and furnished in a modern style, though if I have one little quibble there seemed to be a triumph of style over practicality in some places. There wasn't a drawer in the whole room and the bathroom basins don't have a plug. Breakfasts were good. The broken toaster (mentioned by another reviewer) was replaced by a new toaster but as it only had slots for two pieces of toast so it was no improvement! British people like toast! But apart from these few little niggles it is a wonderful hotel and ideally situated.

I loved this hotel. Very modern and has Vienna's touch to it especially their bar. Rooms are incredibly beautiful. Mattresses, pillow selection, robs, towels absolutely perfect. Furniture nice. Tiles and all vanities , faucets, rain showers, heated floor top notch. Great breakfast in the morning (take it with your booking). Perfect location everything is in walking distances. Will return back to this hotel for sure.

One of the best hotels I've ever stayed at. Impeccable staff are courteous and helpful. Right next to Subway lines 2 and 3. Easily accessible from the main train station and airport via a connecting train. Uber to the city if you arrive late, the cost was about 30 euros. Pool and spa are amazing. Hotel breakfast is included and it's delicious. Location is perfect for all major sites in Vienna. If you want to splurge on a vacation in Vienna, this is the place to stay. One note, if you want to accumulate 'points', make sure to book directly with the hotel and not through or Expedia.

We stayed in a junior suite (#215) in lateAugust 2017. Paying the extra for a junior suite is well worth it if you enjoy a large bath tub and more space. Recommend requesting an upper level room away from the elevators and stair areas when making reservations for noise. privacy and security reasons. Junior Suite There are wood floors in the entry, bedroom, sitting area, closet and tile floors in the bathroom areas. A nice rug is provided in the sitting area for any cold feet. The rooms utilize 220V electricity, so converters are needed for US visitors. Power to the suite will only work if a room key card is placed in a reader (slot) on the wall by the entry door (assuming to conserve energy). There is an automatic bolt lock on the entry door to the suite for security The air conditioner/heater in the suite is controlled by a digital unit and has a three-degree variance limit, but it has a fan option to keep air flowing in the suite. The television is a flat screen about 32 inches on a wall mount with a swing arm to place the TV in front of the foot of the bed. A sitting area with chaise, table and lamp are provided. Large mirrors are located in each room of the suite. In addition a desk area with the snack bar and small refrigerator is provided. A large complimentary bottle of water is provided each day. The king size bed was very comfortable (firm), pillows provided varied from soft to hard and a choice of pillows was offered. Multiple light switches are located on the padded headboard to allow for turning on/off lights from the bed. The bathroom has a stand-alone modern bath tub, large walk in shower, and two sinks with enough amount of counter space. The bathroom has a chandelier and lighted mirror in addition to multiple lights. A hair dryer is provided in a drawer in the bathroom. The shower is large enough for two people. The toilet is located in a separate room from the bathroom. It is located near the entry door of the suite. The toilet is a Toto toilet with many options (heated seat, heated spray, fan). There isnot a separate exhaust fan. The walk-in closet has drawers, shelves and rods for hanging clothing and folded items.Anironing board, iron, slippers, robes and approximately ten hangers are provided in the closet. In addition, a safe is provided in the closet. The safe is code operated (not card operated). The windows in the suite can be opened, but there are windows on the exterior of the buildingin addition that cannot be opened. There arelinens and drapery on the windows. The draperyis double sided and does a good job of blocking out light. The wireless network worked great in the suite. You just need to join the Sans Souci network and agree to the terms. The floors/ceilings/walls between rooms are not soundproof. We heard various noises from the room above ours and multiple conversations in the hallway. The maid services did an excellent job every day and were cleaning rooms before 9AM. Evening turndown service is offered. Very good service. There are Privacy and Service door hangers, Reception I can’t say enough positive things about the front desk and concierge personnel and management. The front desk and concierge area great resource and very helpful. Don’t be afraid to ask for their input as they are the best that we have experienced in many years. They were happy to suggest/talk about items to do and book tours, Also, labeling and drawing out locations and directions on maps, and making dinner reservations were welcomed. In addition to the reception personnel being full of ideas/opinions they also are good with unique ideas/requests and know some short cutsfor walking the nearby districts that helped. They are the main reason that we will stay at the San Souci Vien when we return to Vienna. The Spa and Pool are a nice relaxing retreat from walking the city and are a nice option for a break. The pool and setting are unique and worth a look even if you are not planning on swimming. The gym is adequately stocked with equipment, bands and free weights. There is the ability to do just about any normal exercise. It lets you get a good workout in if desired. Breakfast was included in our booking and it a great deal. The drinks and food offered seemed endless and the service was top notch. Sliced meats, sliced and block cheeses, fruits, smoothies, sausages, bacon, cereals, muesli, pastries, bread, bagels, milks, juices, teas, coffees, were all provided while many items such as eggs (anyway you want them done) can be ordered. We didn’t always eat breakfast at the hotel as we wanted to experience some of the cafes in Vienna, but it really is a great option. The service was always top notch and with a smile. There is an underground/subway stop across the street nearby and a above ground tram/train stop within a 1-2 walk. There is a Spar convenience store located next to the hotel for any food/ water needs and it has a ATM for any money needs.
