We stayed in the Junior Suite during our stay at Vienna. The room was nice, spacious and had a real romantic feel to it with the bathroom behind the two doors. We only took breakfast at the hotel and this was very nice. All fresh and tasty products, the breakfast a la carte menu was also very nice, we liked the 2 egg omelet with vegetables and the pancakes the most! Every day there is also a different smoothie and was really good. My wife took a massage at the spa and was very pleased with it. Myself trained in the fitness 2 days and was somewhat disappointed with the machines and dumbbell range. They have many cardio equipment, but less for strength training. Location of the hotel is superb, very close to the metro station (volkstheater) and it is very easy to access all the places in the city, everything is in walking distance from the hotel. You can also use the metro + train to get to the front door step of the hotel coming from the airport in just 50 min. In conclusion, we liked our stay a lot, and if we return to Vienna, this would be our place to be again.

We stayed here for a full week during our vacation last year and we did a ton of research before choosing it (I thought I had finished this review but just found it in my drafts which is why it's so late in coming). They were almost full during our dates but Florian went out of his way to accommodate us and was able to put us up for the whole time with just one room change which we didn't mind at all. It is also less expensive than some of the larger luxury hotels in Vienna making it an excellent value for the quality of the property. The hotel is in a great location in easy walking distance to lots of museums, theaters and parks. It's also close to trains making it easy to get to places further afield. The rooms are beautifully decorated, well appointed, clean, and the beds are super comfy. We were there in the dead of winter so it was very cold but the hotel was very cozy and welcoming. The general vibe in Vienna can be a bit aloof and snooty, but this was not the case at the Sans Souci, with one exception. While all the bellman, front desk, restaurant and housekeeping staff were very warm and helpful, the Chef Concierge was rude and condescending toward us. He had his Les Clefs d’Or ("keys of gold") which according to the organization means he is an "experienced concierge, one who’s dedicated to providing excellent service to all". Unfortunately we did't get that treatment. I don't know if we offended him somehow or what, but from the moment we met him it was clear that he resented helping us so we did our best to avoid him for the rest of our stay. The rest of the concierge staff were lovely and gave us great ideas for less touristy activities. The Sans Souci also has great food and they were happy to accommodate my food allergies (gluten, dairy, soy) which was really nice, especially since I always hate being that high maintenance food person when traveling overseas. The staff in the bar and restaurant were all so lovely and friendly and we were sad to say goodbye to them when we left. Both my husband and I like to workout while on vacation and the hotel gym was clean and well equipped. The spa area is also wonderful and while we didn't partake in any services, we enjoyed the sauna and steam room. Bottom line is that in spite of the one snobby concierge, this truly is a fabulous hotel and we wouldn't stay anywhere else if we ever return to Vienna.

My wife and I spent a long weekend in Vienna for the first time, and stayed at this pristine hotel. We were welcomed by friendly and professional staff, all very knowledgeable and willing. Our room was not big, but very tasteful, and space was well utilized. The finishes in the hotel are magnificent. It’s well located and in walking distance of all major city attractions. It offers a very upmarket restaurant at which we had a sublime dinner, as well as a top class spa and a good size gym. The room was well serviced, and the speed of service with small things like coffee to the room was outstanding. Highly recommended.
