I loved this hotel. the location is perfect, quiet yet very close to everything, to the port, to train station, to marche du vieux port and to all the sight seeing , restaurants and shops...The hotel is adorable, a boutique hotel with very modern amenities...the bed was very comfortable, the shower was spacious and water pressure was great....chocolate on turn down every night was a great touch. Breakfast is a continental one yet plenty of fresh baguette, croissants, muffins, cheeses, hard boiled egg, delicious jam, yogurt, granola and fruit.....the front desk was so friendly, always smiling and available to help out. Notice, the concierge went out of his way to make our trip memorable, from our emails back and forth to his smile and friendly bonjour and bonsai's....very friendly staff at the front desk....I will definitely go back and stay here...loved our stay in this boutique hotel....

Second stay in Le Germain and it did not disappoint. Again, great stff and lovely comfortable room with a great view. In fact, view out our window after dark featured lighted towers of churches and castles. Such a beautiful town. And, best hotel breakfast we have experienced in years.

The hotel is well located in Old Quebec City , close to the Vieux port and most attractions ( in lower part of the town . You still have to climb stairs / take funicular up a 20-25 min walk to reach the Chateaux Frontenac and the Terrasse Dufferin ) 30 mins from the airport . There is no view , breakfast is decent not spectacular , handicapped access is at the back of the hotel which seems to be a well kept secret and U have to haul ur luggage up a staired entrance before u realize it . Our rooms were spacious but half the lights were non functional , the heating thermostat was not working , wifi very slow . Here are the BEST parts of the hotel : the front desk staff is awesome especially Francis the concierge , went out of his way to plan our trip , make reservations at popular restaurants and even arranged for a complimentary car loaner from the hotel to take for a day trip( gas needs to be refilled ) . Its an overpriced hotel for the amenities provided but location and the excellent service and staff get all the credit they truly deserve

For 17 years this property had been our choice when visiting Quebec City. Why? Excellent customer service, interior design, breakfast buffet, and spectacular views from the rooms. Attention to the fine details sets this hotel apart from others.
