For over 50 years, Bitter End Yacht Club has been a family-owned island outpost—reachable only by sea—where heritage nautical charm meets easy, modern comfort. Located on the protected waters of North Sound on the perennially top ranked Caribbean Island of Virgin Gorda in the British Virgin Islands, the quintessential destination is a sailing and watersports mecca, thanks to its near perfect year-round sailing conditions, eternal sunshine, and crystal-blue waters.
Set within a lively marina village, guests find barefoot-luxury stays, fresh coastal dining, and a fleet built for play—from sailing and foiling to paddling and snorkel excursions. The vibe is relaxed and communal; couples, families, and groups feel instantly at home, and many return season after season to their homeport in the Caribbean.

I don’t even know where to begin on the Bitter End… This place surpassed all expectations we had, and it was by far one of our favorite trips together. We have stayed in many five star properties around the world (and on Virgin Gorda), and I'm not sure our stay at BEYC can be topped. My husband typically likes to park himself on the beach and read (and have some cocktails) throughout the day, whereas I like to get out and do activities. Our first full day there, we did a sunrise sweat session with Sam, E-foiling lesson with Adam, and a Hobie Cat lesson with Sam. I was so shocked my husband joined me for all of these, but I feel like that’s what being at Bitter End inspires you to do. There is SO much going on, and you feel like you’re at the hub of all of these wonderful activities. We only stayed three nights and wished we had stayed longer. The staff is second to none. Everyone is beyond friendly, and the way they pay attention to details and getting to know you makes you feel so welcome. Alisha, Saturn (his spicy margs!), Dervina, Sam, and Adam…they were wonderful. The beach bungalow!!! It was GORGEOUS with such attention to detail, and it is definitely worth the upgrade (although I would happily stay in any of their rooms). It's one of the most beautiful accommodations I've ever stayed in. We loved all the warm wood throughout the property. We tried to venture out for dinner every night, but it was always hard to leave the Quarterdeck bar and Saturn’s cocktails, and we were always happy to come back at the end of the night. For lack of a better word, Bitter End is one of the most special places I’ve ever been. The atmosphere, comradery, and warmth the team has created is what makes it so exceptional. It leaves a lasting impression on you that cannot be replicated elsewhere. We are already scheming ahead for our next trip there.

Best customer service in the BVIs. Fantastic marina with very helpful staff. Great restaurants. Nice swimming area. Wonderful market. We sailed all around the BVIs and the Bitter end was our highlight.

Great destination for cruising or sailing. Good food, shopping, bar, dock service with showers. We had breakfast and dinner while visiting. Prices at market where high as expected. Hope to return, but wish our charter boat from Moorings did not have continuous issues.

Our first time here, came over on their boat from Gun Creek. Easy to find because the road ends here. Tricky to find a parking space. Club is newly redone and facility is terrific though maybe most worth it to boaters that anchor here. Not sure we would return if just staying on VG. Also Saba Rock is right there in the channel and were told a shuttle goes between them.

The rebuilt Bitter End is even better than the last. The gift shop actually has some gourmet items as well as ice if you need it. The restaurant was great for breakfast and we enjoyed walking along the water and enjoying the sites.
