The Fairmont Orchid is a beautifully designed hotel that fits in perfectly with the Hawaiian landscape. From the moment we arrived we were embraced so warmly by the staff. The pool is lovely and there was plenty of space to find a place to lounge. The Hali Kai was great for lunch and to watch the sunset. The green turtles sun themselves on the rocks in front of the restaurant. While the beach is small it is great for swimming with young ones. There are tons of activities that are available and if you are a Fremont President Club member they offer a few gratis (1 hour of snorkeling for 2). We can’t wait to return!!

Great upscale hotel. Join Fairmont President’s club for additional upgrade and perks. Beautiful views, great restaurants especially Orchid Court for breakfast and Brown’s Beach House for dinner. Friendly staff. Had a great time

Too crowded for us. We expected room to be nicer for a $1000/night room. Mauna Lani ocean front room for $509/night was very nice. They offer two sinks with a drawers to put some things away. We enjoyed our stay but moved over to Mauna Lani. I did miss our concierge and food, snacks, and drinks at your convenience but was it worth $1000/night?

We actually stayed here several years back. If you love big resorts this is a great choice. Loved having coffee and looking out over the ocean. We saw whales from the property and plenty of sea turtles. There was a state park you could walk to to the right of the resort that was great. Food was typical resort and priced for it. We did love how each night they would have a quick ceremony to like the tiki torches. Overall a very nice choice but if you like more of a local feel this may not be your place.

We enjoyed our stay thoroughly. The level of customer service is outstanding. The staff consistently provided an excellent experience. The spa experience was a bit disorganized but ultimately enjoyed the massage very much. There was no where to relax after the massage, and we were told we needed to move immediately following the massage which is really jarring. Everyone at this hotel worked hard to be sure we were well taken care of.
