1 night stay. This really is the perfect location if you want to see The White House. It’s right across the street. Literally. It’s unbelievable how close it is. The room was lovely. Small but a perfect size for the length of stay. Breakfast was also nice but this is where the negatives begin to creep in unfortunately. One issue I have experienced across America, no matter where I eat is that the bill is being brought when you are still eating. This occurred at breakfast and as I said in one of my previous reviews, it says nothing more than ‘get out.’ A shame. I didn’t think much of the downstairs bar. It’s loud and is in need of a revamp, honestly. When we returned from the bar, the sofa bed was also not made up. Despite this being requested on booking, on check in and just a few hours prior. When we called down, there was no apology whatsoever from who I assume was the Night Manager. He just said, “I’ll have to do it.” An attitude that wasn’t appreciated. On check out, the bellhop literally came into the room and watched our every move during last minute packing and checking of the room. This is totally unheard of, as far as I’m concerned and added to the stress. This same bellhop waited for a tip downstairs in a very awkward fashion. He was given one, however, when our car arrived some hours later, he waited for another tip, again, in a very awkward fashion. Disgusting. Really let the place down.

Me and my family of 4 just left the hotel couple hrs ago and let me tell you how phenomenal theirs services is. Everyone is super nice and treat you like a VIP. Service they provide are fast. The room are very clean and great view as well. Every attraction is close by like white House and museum. I would love to go back to this wonderful hotel again.

The service there is phenomenal. Everyone there give me a special treatment vibe. Definitely feels like being a VIP. The room is so neat and clean. Jordy (front guy) is so cute and he made me feel so welcome. I would definitely be back. Highly recommend.

This hotel is absolutely the best location in Washington, DC! You are right at Lafayette Park, and one block from the White House! The hotel staff made our stay exceptional - the housekeeping staff who took the best care of our room, the food service staff who were so accommodating and friendly, and the lobby staff who made us feel so welcome and were always very helpful. The food is delicious in the restaurant and the bar, and the downstairs bar is bustling every night!! The hotel also has so many lovely luxurious touches, like surprises in our room, water bottles and cookies in the lobby, bikes and helmets to use, and more. We were sad to leave, and for return trips to DC, the Hay-Adams will absolutely be our top choice!

Literally the most superb service I’ve received in all of Washington. We usually stay at the St. Regis, but decided to make a change. Every person we’ve come in contact with; from the front desk, to the restaurant, to room service, concierge, honestly everyone is exceptional. I highly recommend Brian at the concierge desk, he has the greatest restaurant recommendations and connections within the city if you need to get last-minute tickets to any of the museums. Literally felt 5- star through the entire experience! The rooms are quaint and quite luxurious given the age and size of the hotel. There isn’t a single detail unnoticed. Will absolutely book again!
