We stayed at The Jefferson for 4 nights in September and were delighted at how friendly and accommodating the staff were. The hotel has a 'club' type atmosphere which is both homely and professional. Our room was perfectly appointed and very comfortable with all mod cons. The position was good being walking distance from all the main attractions. I would highly recommend the hotel as a base for exploring this lovely city.

My experience was of walking in as a tourist. I heard from a friend that this hotel has much history as a boutique hotel and some original letters by Thomas Jefferson. So I strolled in with my family. The concierge and front desk staff, in particular Felicia, were very kind and hospitable and gave us a tour of the first floor. She even gave the kiddos a prize. Very gracious. I would love to stay there next time! The restaurant for breakfast and bar for drinks appeared very nice, too!

Gorgeous hotel in the center of D.C. power with a very attentive, welcoming staff who did everything to make this a wonderful, memorable visit. (Thanks to charming concierge Cliff for being so personable.) The only downside to my stay was that using the WiFi was like watching a snail cross a football field -- excruciatingly slow. I gave up on getting any work done on my laptop and resorted to using my cellphone for Internet connectivity. The best thing about the room was the amazing marble bathroom with a fantastic shower with water pressure that peeled a few layers of my epidermis off -- my daily hydrotherapy. From the polished marble floors in the lobby to the hidden Quill bar, this place is a class act...but what's with the WiFi?

I love the Jefferson. Quiet, calm, friendly, and superbly run. The rooms are comfortable and relaxing. Plus the food and drink are first rate. The staff is professional, courteous, and efficient. The entire hotel has an air of understated elegance. Why stay anywhere else?

The Jefferson is a gem. I loved every aspect of my stay from the lovely and personal check in desks, to the thoughtful turn down service. The lobby is small and elegant and the book room was perfect to wait in while my room was being prepared. There is a wonderful onsite historian who gives a detailed and fun tour of the hotel that is not to be missed. The Premier King room was perfect. The bed is so comfortable and the turn down service is wonderful. The closet is a great size for a short stay and there are plenty of hangers. The bathroom is beyond amazing. The in-mirror television is phenomenal. You can watch a movie while getting ready for your day with the ample counter space and lovely amenities. The lighting in the room is amazing. Natural light streams through the windows in both the bedroom and bathroom. The location is great! It's a convenient location to take walks and near the White House. Plume is marvelous for breakfast with a gorgeous atmosphere underneath the ornately decorated skylight. The quill bar and lounge was great for taking a quick snack and drink and listening to the wonderful pianist play songs, especially the Marilyn Monroe songs. Anyways, every penny is worth it at The Jefferson and I would give an arm and a leg to stay again.
