After a two week drive thru the south in August & September we wanted a hotel with a rooftop pool. The pool looked great but my wife forgot to bring her bathing suit and it's hard to find one in shops at end of summer. The hotel location was 2nd reason for staying there for 3 nights before returning to Europe. I was late returning our rental car at Union Station but it was a short drive after unloading luggage & checking in. Check in was quick & easy so was able to return rental car with no stress or delay from hotel. The room was not the luxury suit but was comfortable for our needs. The mini frig was missing but within a few minutes after calling reception a smiling man carried one & plugged it in. We did not have breakfast included but had a brunch in the restaurant. The menu had a good variety and the food was 5 star. They must have an excellent chef. We intended to see DC from a hop on hop off bus but once we started walking, even in the heat, we kept walking. So many museums and places of interest close to the hotel. Walking the National Mall from end to end stopping in most of the museums was not problem for my 70 years. We will check availability of this hotel on our next trip to DC.

My wife and I stayed over the 4th of July Holiday and what a great location - so close to the US Capitol and National Mall. Also just a few minutes walk from Union Station. And the Art and Soul restaurant is absolutely fabulous. A great stay in our Nation's capitol!

Room was overpriced for level of service and ammenities. Our first day on property you let the life guard go home early so the rest of the day and evening we had planned to be at the pool was gone. The pool is one of the major reasons we picked your hotel.

All was great, except you can see the building is old by its doors, old outlets and switches. Otherwise had a pleasant stay. Room was very clean and maintained so daily. There was no mini-fridge in the deluxe king room.
