Thai is a worst hotel ! The room is not too clean,they charged our water what we bring to room and also charged from the food minibar but we didnt eat anything .. From the 340 $ we pay 440$ and when we leave the hotel they charged an another 120$ and dont know egy ?! So from 340$ we pay 600 $ . This for only one night !!!

The location was good to get around where we needed to. The room itself was decent for the age. Mattress was terribly hard and uncomfortable. Room was showing age. Restaurant overpriced and only decent quality of food. Staff was okay, not super helpful in what we needed. The location was the key for this hotel, I would probably not stay here again but did it's job while in D.C.

The hotel was comfortable and reasonable. Location was central to city sites. The conference workshop arranged the food through the hotel and the food quality was outstanding. I really loved the vegan options. Parking was outrageously expensive ($50/day).

Hotels in downtown DC all seem to be eclipsing $300 a night and rooms are hard to find. The $400 a night at Loews Madison is certainly reasonable, but not a value. I was in town for business, in this case a meeting conducted at the hotel. I will comment on both the room and the conference support. The hotel claims "exceptional accommodations". Could be true, but certainly not a description of the room I was given. It was small, but well within expectations for a 50+ year-old property. I was on the 14th floor and street noise was not an issue. WIFI was free, fast and reliable. Bravo. Room was worn and poorly maintained. Bathroom fixtures were broken, electrical sockets too worn to be useful on bed and desk, and AC unit was exceedingly noisy. In addition, room was not stocked with soap, tissues and a full complement of towels. Staff at desk was friendly and efficient at check-in/-out. I would have preferred better housekeeping performance, but I got a text thanking me before I even made it to the room. Seems like efforts are being spent in the wrong place. Meeting facilities are adequate in most ways, but HVAC has to be some of the noisiest I've ever encountered. Even with using microphones, we had to keep turning the AC on and off in the room to hear speakers in the small rooms we used. I will give a hearty thumbs up to the catering. The service staff and the food were both great. Food was good with a good variety served by an exceedingly attentive staff.

Stayed as a family of 6 for 4 nights visiting from thr UK. Check in was a disaster. Given 2 rooms on the same floor as requested but one had not been cleaned as we discovered on opening the door. Attempt number 2 gave us a room with one bed - for 4 people. Attempt number 3 gave us another room that was in the process of being cleaned. At this point I was getting a little annoyed but in stepped the concierge Innocent who calmed everything down. He quickly sorted the issue, upgraded my sons room to a corner suite and asked us to wait in the bar with complimentary drinks while the rooms were prepared. What a gentleman. The rooms were great - especially my sons! The draw backs were no coffee in the standard rooms - coffee was available in the lobby until 9am at the weekend and 730 in the week meaning you needed to get up and out which is very strange for a mid range hotel. The staff were all friendly from the door men to the lady on the Starbucks and of course Innocent. We did not eat in the hotel other than to grab a coffee and pastries from the Starbucks. There were a few coffee shops local too. Location wise it is great - 10 minute walk to the McPherson Square metro station and another 5-10 minutes to the White House. In the other direction, 10 minutes up 14th Street takes you to a number of restaurants reasonably priced. One final sting in the tail was when we arrived gome in the UK to find over $900 of pending transactions on my credit card - even though we did not incur any charges while in the hotel! I did find it very difficult to contact the hotel (via a call centre). Over the next 10 days these charges gradually fell off but I do not know why they were there in the first place - maybe my credit card was left open on the various rooms we were allocated on the check in fiasco? Overall we had a lovely stay - it was the start and finish experiences that took the gloss off it a little.
