Reviews for The Madison Hotel

Beware of this hotel if you plan to stay more than two days! My two weeks there was HELL. Giant holds on CC.

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 days ago

This Marriott franchise places enormous holds on CC! Be prepared to bring back up money. I was treated like a common thief by holding thousands of money on my Marriott Bonvoy card. I was staying long term due to a fire in my condo building. Instead of treating me like a family member, I was forced to open another CC. Insurance wanted everything nice and neat on my MARRIOTT CC. I eventually canceled my cards and moved to another DC Marriott (Mayflower), they don’t have that policy and were very accommodating in moving me in, while I wait for my building to resume normalcy. Take away, DONT stay here if you a rich or plan to stay more than two days!

Front desk staffs were rudeness and unprofessionalism

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

I am writing to express my disappointment with my recent stay at this hotel for 3 nights. As a Marriott Platinum member, I have stayed at many Marriott hotels, but I must say this was the worst experience I have had at a Marriott hotel. I asked assistance from three different male staff members—for check-in, requesting drinking water. Three front desk staffs were rudeness and unprofessionalism. Their lack of courtesy made check-in and subsequent interactions uncomfortable. I originally planned to stay same hotel after 4 days again, but I already canceled and will not consider it anymore and will not recommend this hotels to my staffs, my friends, and everyone. Additionally, breakfast is very bad.

I had a great experience here. Abdul is an incredible host - funny, professional, and very personal. I will spend more time here during our stay.

Treated like a VIP at The Madison!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

I had a lovely stay at Le Meridian, The Madison. From a warm welcome at check-in to the restaurant and lounge, all of the staff was welcoming. They knew it was my birthday week and I was treated like a VIP. I'll definitely be back.

Visiting Washington DC

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 weeks ago

Our stay at Le Meridien Washington DC The Madison, was excellent! The room was spacious and bright, very clean and had a wonderful street view. Staff was extremely helpful and kind with lots of suggestions for our visit. One thing that was missing in the breakfast area and should definitely be added is a sign with the allergen ingredients of every product served. As we have a nut allergy, it was difficult for us to safely choose what to eat. It would also be a good idea to put a mini fridge in the rooms. Apart from that, it was a very pleasant stay and we would definitely recommend it!
