Great property & location

Great experience. We brought our two young girls for a visit to the capital, and could not have found a better place to stay. Fantastic location - walking distance to many sites. Service was thoughtful and attentive; they have a "kid's concierge" who oversees a small library, which added a nice touch. Our room was spacious, clean and very well maintained for a property of this age. We will return.

A good option for DC

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 weeks ago

First time back after a long while (10 years+), when I stayed as a frequent guest for work. They kindly offered me the same discounted rate. I was in a large junior suite on the 3rd floor, and on first impressions the room didn't look that different to when I used to stay, but they had made quite a number of improvements - TV, minibar, etc. The beds were, and still are, super comfortable. The only major let down in the room was the air conditioning, that sounded like a jet fighter taking off (and on inspection was full of dust). Other than that, housekeeping was fine and room service fast and very good quality (although a little sad that they've got rid of the Jumbo Shrimps!). The location is simply unbeatable and the front desk very helpful. It's a shame that the door staff and valet team are not as friendly - but as a good option in DC, with a little history thrown in, the Willard is a good option.

Exceptional hotel with exceptional staff.

We took a family trip to Washington, DC and stayed at this fabulous hotel. This is an exceptional hotel with equally exceptional staff. Everyone from the bell hop to the front desk to the concierge to the cleaning staff. The rooms and property were immaculate. Definitely would stay here again.

Blossom Time in DC

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 weeks ago

Exceptional - as always. Perfectly placed for sightseeing and a welcoming place to come home to after a busy day. If you are lucky, you may be allocated a room where you can see The White House. The blossoms in DC are spectacular and not to be missed. You will certainly get your 10,000 steps in each day as there is so much to go and see in the area. The hotel staff are friendly and go out of their way to make you welcome.

Pretty and well located but value ends there.

Barely acknowledged by anyone working there over five nights. Felt very impersonal. Good location for all national mall museums. Gorgeous - felt very ‘DC’. Was with my mom and was told room with two beds would be available day after arrival. Stopped at desk next day and told nope. Went to their website and found said room with two beds available. Called down and was told some BS story about the system being down. Sorry but lost a customer and respect. Room was nice but bedding was so thin. No blanket in the closet. Sink water barely gets warm. Housekeeping did the bare minimum. Had crumbs all over the floor that never got vacuumed over four days. Fridge is so warm it might as well not be there. Cafe restaurant for breakfast was good. Food was tasty but service was poor. Would not stay again for the price. Lots of options in same area.
