Elegance on the coast of Rhode Island is pristine and inviting at the Ocean House. Iconic white washed facades and traditional architecture are captured by the sunny seaside and miles of white sand. This grand Victorian invites travelers to a slow paced vacation, set to the tranquil timetable of the tides, and sun, teatime, cocktails, sailing regattas, and bonfires on the beach. Perched on the bluffs of Watch Hill, the rebirth of a New England resort is meticulous, an homage to legends of the pass. Personal services for guests offer uncompromising accommodations and treatment. World class amenities are reminiscent of a golden age of hospitality and renewed charm. Whether in Winter, Spring, Summer, or Fall, your faultless destination is soothing throughout the year. A 12,000 square foot spa is overflowing from light, pale blue greens and washes of paint invoke the calming nature of the sea. Inspired by organic produce from New England harvests, therapeutic elements of the sea are for rejuvenation of the body, mind and soul.

I have been going to the Ocean House for years before and after the renovation. I have stopped going because of the pretentious pretense put on by staff and the advertising that hoodwinks the guests into believing a wonderful experience awaits. Purchased a gift certificate for my daughter and her fiancé to celebrate a special day--unfortunately, the experience they had the year before for their anniversary was not to be had. Indifferent service, subpar food, and lack of attention to my daughter's food allergy and the request they made four months prior for seating that wasn't honored just ruined their special day. They wanted that experience of a special day. I tried to tell her go somewhere else. My daughter spoke with the manager, and he could have cared less. He used excuses such as, "It's after the holidays and everyone is tired." Wow! In part, I am glad that their experience was terrible as it solidifies the hit or miss experience one can have at the Ocean House.

We were seated at a lovely window table in the Bistro. Our waiter was extremely attentive, friendly and helpful. We were treated to a glass of champagne and an amuse bouche to start. The charcuterie board was very large almost a meal and the calamari appetizer was also very generous. I would have liked a sweet- spicy sauce with it rather than the aioli. Steak frites were cooked nicely and the frites were hot and crispy. We never felt rushed and really enjoyed our meal and our waiter, who was from Indonesia( wish I remembered his name) made our experience all the more enjoyable

Another wondrous evening at Ocean House. The decorations are stunning and imaginative. We dined with several friends tonight and as always Robert made us feel like we were the only guests there. We also had Mema as our waitress who also did a stellar job. Mema took care of all twelve of us effortlessly. Thank you OH for wonderful dinners and five star service by these two exceptional employees. Will see you on Monday.

We heard a lot about the extraordinary brunch from the locals in Narragansett. It's a way for regular folk to access this property which is otherwise out of most people's reach at about $1000 per night - that's the basic room. For nearly $100 per person for breakfast, I recommend you get 2 proper meals elsewhere. Yes, the surroundings are nice, but otherwise the food is incredibly mediocre while the service is fair. We were seated, not in the main dining room, but in a Members area that was empty and not connected conveniently to the place where the buffet was located. Although it was presented as an upgrade, it really did feel like a downgrade. It could have been because there were a big function the day before, and maybe the hotel guests and regulars were given preference, but I suppose my point is that I shouldn't be wondering about this. I've been to a lot of fine dining establishments in my time, so you kinda know where you're at when you get the table by the kitchen or restrooms. We did, in fact, have easy access to the rest rooms in the hallway that led back to the lobby and actual dining room. It's a nice place, don't get me wrong, but I doubt we will ever go back.

I shared a wonderful weekend with my family at the beautiful Ocean House. I booked 3 spacious rooms and received all the amenities I had hoped for and more! our weather was beyond beautiful..even though it was October, we went swimming. The beach is lovely with a casual restaurant and we sat in a cabana. The staff is plentiful, so you can have a chaise or an umbrella. we ate every meal at the hotel and we loved it!. we took daily morning classes with Anita, who is the fitness instructor extraordinaire. And lastly, I must commend Maureen, the room manager, for all our extra special attention. she knew it was an important weekend for me..its pricey...but worth it
