Elegance on the coast of Rhode Island is pristine and inviting at the Ocean House. Iconic white washed facades and traditional architecture are captured by the sunny seaside and miles of white sand. This grand Victorian invites travelers to a slow paced vacation, set to the tranquil timetable of the tides, and sun, teatime, cocktails, sailing regattas, and bonfires on the beach. Perched on the bluffs of Watch Hill, the rebirth of a New England resort is meticulous, an homage to legends of the pass. Personal services for guests offer uncompromising accommodations and treatment. World class amenities are reminiscent of a golden age of hospitality and renewed charm. Whether in Winter, Spring, Summer, or Fall, your faultless destination is soothing throughout the year. A 12,000 square foot spa is overflowing from light, pale blue greens and washes of paint invoke the calming nature of the sea. Inspired by organic produce from New England harvests, therapeutic elements of the sea are for rejuvenation of the body, mind and soul.

This place is fascinating. The architecture is marvelous and the accomodations luxurious. The combination of service and setting cannot be beat. Yes it’s a bit pricy but the stay is well worth it. Granted we stayed on a weekday when the rates are more appealing but you won’ be dissatisfied with this first class venue . . and what a place for a wedding.

From start to finish unparalleled service, gracious elegance. Summing in Watch Hill brings me back to the Elegance of bygone days. A five star amazing property. Food was perfectly presented and all tastes were on point. Staff is exceptionally in-tuned to provide attentive service and exceeded all expectations.

I would give this place ten stars if I could. Ambiance - perfect. Service - attentive and amazing. Attention to detail - 1000 percent. This place is the whole deal, the Big Kahuna, the creme de la creme. The rooms are elegantly appointed. We had a suite with a working (gas) fireplace and amenities galore. The lobby and public areas are immaculately clean and very tastefully decorated. The the Bistro Restaurant...amazing. Go on the hotel tour...hopefully, you'll get Bob. He's wonderful. This place is on the pricey side, but worth every penny of it. It's a once in a lifetime experience.

I did not actually stay at The Ocean House but our close friends who were newlyweds did. I worked closely with the Chef Concierge, Joe, who helped me set something up as a gift waiting for them upon arrival. I have worked in hotels and restaurants for a decade and Joe was truly a breath of fresh air to work with. He facetimed me from the gift shop and we were able to narrow in on a gift. He also hand-wrote a card with a message I emailed and made it a lovely display for when our friends entered the room. It was an extra special surprise and Joe made it easy. Thank you so much, Joe & Ocean House!

We’ve been Newport several times but this was our first visit to Watch Hill. The Ocean House was beautiful, and a great staff. A special shout out to the concierge, Robin was so helpful with dinner reservations, transportation, local history and more. We look forward to visiting again soon. Nick & Christine
