It’s a simple hotel that’s excellently managed. Good firm pillows, outlets that actually work, staff is extremely friendly. Breakfast isn’t extravagant but very well done. Their muffins are incredible. Relaxing atmosphere, quiet, clean, great location

I’ll start with a shout-out to Melvin and the breakfast crew. They remember you after a visit or two. You do pay for breakfast — and it is good. Lots of fruit, yogurt, oatmeal w fixings along with eggs, sausage, nova salmon,… There’s also a quick out the door morning option and a bar w a friendly bar tender for end of day that serves dinner as well as snacks. Rooms are a decent size and beds comfy. You’re not far from the train station and right next door to The Westchester mall for shopping. There’s a Whole Foods and Cheesecake Factory across the street. If you have kids, the indoor pool is a win, I recommend the Sonesta White Plains.

My business visit at the Sonesta White Plains July 31 to August 3, 2026 was an experience worth rating. As a flight attendant, I stay in hotels all over the world- and this is one which makes a guest feel like they are HOME. Impeccable service especially from the Food and Beverage director, Francesca- to the morning breakfast crew. (Did I mention the breakfast is phenomenal and both Frankie and Melvin will take care of you with 5 star service?!) CHEFS KISS!!

Be aware! You will pay +$300 a night for a room with no bed! After prepaying for TWO rooms we were offered a room with a small blue velvet couch. Don’t fall for their claim of a “Murphy bed”. This is false. If that wasn’t disappointing enough they also said that they could not credit us back for the unacceptable hospitality. Stay Away!!!!!

Excellent service in the restaurant for breakfast. The continental breakfast is a bargain given the discount included in the room rate. Particular commendation to Melvin, Carlos, and the rest of the restaurant personnel
