Excellent

What can i say, from the moment we arrived we felt relaxed and at ease. The staff on reception were friendly and helpful and gave us all the info we needed. Our room was lovely, very tastefully decorated with a nice view onto the gardens. Drinks in the little bar area were just lovely with attentive and friendly staff. Dinner in the restaurant was delicious as was the breakfast, The grounds here are spectacular and lovely to wander around.

Lunch for 50 people: Thank you to the team at Tinakilly for making this family occasion relaxed and enjoyable. The food was lovely and the service couldn't have been better. Some guests had additional needs which were accommodated without any problem.

Wonderful evening had by all

Reviewed 7 January 2023 We are a family of five adults and one young child. We had a fabulous 3 course meal each this evening. Good selection of wines and lovely coffee to finish. We all agreed that the experience from begging to end was lovely. The restaurant was so nicely presented. The staff were professional and friendly. I wouldn't hesitate to reccomend anyone going to Tinakilly House for any occasion. Well done all. Date of stay: January 2023

Simply Wonderful

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Tinakilly Country House. We traveled from the US as our son and daughter in law got married there in August 2023. The whole experience was simply magical. The drive into the estate is a long narrow road and the further you drive in, the more you feel like you are entering a beautiful, tranquil fairyland. The gardens that greet you are stunning and meticulously maintained. The house is stately and gorgeous both inside and out. The staff are friendly and very welcoming. Our room was large, comfortable and looked out to horse pastures, gardens, woods, and the ocean in the distance. Our event was a small wedding of about 35 people and all of the guests stayed at Tinakilly. Throughout the weekend and several events, all of the staff went above and beyond to make our stay the best it could be. They were so gracious and accommodating. Food was excellent throughout. We were able to take advantage of several venues within the estate for our event, which was special as it is so beautiful with so many different gardens and rooms. If you visit Tinakilly, you will make lasting memories at a beautiful and special place.

I'd rather be in a Travelodge

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 7 months ago

We stayed here as part of a wedding party. Quite the weirdest double hotel room I’ve been in. The modest-sized double bed was squeezed into a smallish space just inside the door, with a bathroom adjacent. Beyond a strange partition was a huge dingy comfortless room with a few random bits of furniture. It was a bit like an unused storeroom - wooden floor rather than carpet, a bit of a rug, mirror leaning against the wall and an unused kitchenette behind double doors. No means of making coffee or tea (which we gathered other rooms did have!) - which at £180 a room is a disgrace really. The bathroom was OK although parts of the shower were a bit mouldy and black. We would rather have been in a Travelodge to be honest because there you get a cosy room, carpet, kettle, coffee and a king sized bed. This was a pity because the rest of the hotel is lovely - the gardens are special, the bar and dining room are great. The staff were all friendly, helpful and obliging.
