Like the rainbow-hued houses in Curaçao's UNESCO World Heritage site capital, Baoase Luxury Resort embraces color in its five-star villas and rooms. Rich wood and jewel-toned accents make the transition from the king-sized bedroom to an airy patio surrounded by lush botanical gardens, creating a sense of peaceful continuity.

Just returned from a 2nd vacation at the fabulous Baoase Luxury Resort. I can’t wait for my next visit to this dream come true resort. The location, the atmosphere, the food, our villa and especially ALL the staff were truly amazing. Look forward to seeing all the Baoase family again next year !

Absolute best in the Caribbean. My wife and I have travelled to many islands and resorts in the Caribbean. This is by far the best. We have stayed at Baoase 4 times. Always fantastic. If you like high end comfort, quiet serene private beach, great food and friendly staff then this is the place for you. Everything is Zen like and tranquil. A great place to relax in comfort. Anthony, the manager was incredibly kind and attentive. Baoase is simply the best.

This was my second visit to the resort in two years, and once again it earns a five-star rating. The staff, food, and villas were outstanding. The beach is a secluded paradise, with a man-made island creating a calm, wave-free swimming area. If you prefer, you can also swim beyond the island and enjoy excellent snorkeling. With direct flights from Montreal this is my go to for January.

I visited Baoase with my teenage daughter the week after Christmas. Prior to arrival the team was very responsive via email for dinner requests, excursions, airport transportation etc. We did experience a flight delay on arrival/ we arrived a day late due to a Northeast snowstorm, and the Baoase team responded immediately and was quite helpful when we reached out. Our Superior Beachfront Pool suite was gorgeous. The room was large, clean, had a private pool and beach. Housekeeping was thorough and excellent, although several days they had not arrived by 3 pm and I needed to reach out to request them to come. Turndown service was always special, with notes and treats left, as well as incense. We enjoyed both our private pool and beach, as well as the lagoon beach- and both were spectacular. The resort never felt crowded and we could always find space and chairs. We ate both on and off property- twice at Culinary Beach restaurant, once at Italian night, and once dinner room service- all food was great and they offer kids menus. Breakfast was great and I enjoyed both the food and ambiance. We used hotel transportation several times to visit Mambo Beach ($22 each way) for shopping and more casual dining, and the WhatsApp feature was great to both request transportation or just to ask questions. Food was great and well presented. Although we would have welcomed more casual dining at dinner- pizzas, sandwiches etc (or perhaps these options available between 3-5 pm)- especially when travelling with a family. Shortcomings: - Certain things are expected at a $2000/night hotel- for three days straight I sent a whats app message to let management know there was no soap in the ladies restroom at the beach- the dispenser was broken. Finally on the fourth day I asked if they could simply put a bottle of soap there if they could not fix the dispenser . Seems trivial but also seems like something housekeeping or the many beach butlers should have noticed before me, and certainly should not have taken 4 days to resolve. - Dirty towels are left on beach chairs hours after guests have left. At most resorts the towels are taken and fresh ones put down relatively quickly, so other guests can enjoy- here I noticed they made no effort to get rid of trash or dirty towels despite at least 2-4 beach butlers in staff- just an observation. - We were told when we arrived we always had a table at lunch and dinner on property. However every day at breakfast, I was asked if we would be coming for lunch or dinner- often I did not know as we tried to relax and not plan too much in advance. I did not mind the questioning, but we didn’t have firm plans. - Would have loved a water cooler at beach with cold tap water- most caribbean resorts have this option, even if you need to fill your own reusable cup. All of the glass water bottles seemed wasteful and of course an additional charge. There is a mini mart 5 min walk away if you want to purchase wine, gatorade, sodas etc. - We were part of the Venezuelan airspace cancellation and in my opinion the hotel could have done better. I informed them at 09:00 that my flight was cancelled and that I could not rebook for 3 days. I was told by the hotel manager Anthony that I could stay in my current room at least for that night and possibly longer, but at very least I could stay in the hotel even if I had to change rooms. He even offered me a 10 percent discount for that evening (obviously with no flights out no flights were coming in either so our room would have been vacant had we left). I appreciated this, as I was travelling solo with a 13 yo. Several hours later I reveived a phone call from the front desk asking for my flight details, what time I would be leaving the next day, and was informed that I may not have a room to stay in after all. You can imagine my disbelief as had they been honest hours earlier I would have checked out and found other accomodations. Thankfully I was able to find an earlier flight out so I do not know whether we would have been left without accommodations or not. Interstingly, while trying to figure out what to do- I see a room available both on Expedia and Baoase website, which I notified management of and even offered to pay the higher price/ which they had little answer to and still didn’t guarantee me the room. Of note, I was told my additional night would be at a 10 percent discount yet this was not reflected upon checkout. Overall there seemed to be poor communication between the guest services answering whats app, the hotel manager, and the front desk manager. All making for a stressful experience given the travel circumstances. - Would have preferred some more moderately priced or free activities over Festive season. Even simple activities like ornament making, cookie decorating, snorkel tour- $100 for a crab race?! Come on. If it had been $10 or $25 we would have participated and purchased several, but it seemed extravagant after the price of the room. -Preference and service did not seem consistent amongst all guests We have travelled all over the caribbean- 50 times to Grand Cayman, 20 times to Turks and Caicos, as well as numerous other 5 star locales/ St Lucia, Bahamas, St John, Anguilla, etc. While we certainly enjoyed our stay and had an enjoyable vacation with fabulously warm weather, and made family memories, I am not sure I would come back here given the price point and overall feel.

Another wonderful experience from opening greeting to closing Team Goodbye!! This has to be our favorite resort, this was our third trip. The 1:1 experience and feel the Team provides is beyond approach. Everything was perfect from beach service, the Chef’s Specials (Oliver), and Christmas Trees in our room. Cannot say enough about the people who run this Resort, top notch. The ambience is relaxing, thoughtful, and always accommodating to provide that extra effort. Thank you all, we will see you again soon!
