If you are looking for something non-chaotic but fun, this is the place for you.I stayed there with my wife and daughter in a river view suite and, gosh, what a view. The view alone was worth a million bucks. The room was always clean and pick-up to a very high standard, they always arranged my daughter's stuff animals all around the room. I remember after we came back to our suite from our first outing, there were stuff animals perfectly seated on the bed, chair and table. My baby girl was excited. There is so much to do on the property. They have bicycling, kayaking, jet skiing, boating, a lazy river and several pools(in and out). Also Busch Garden is close by and many of restaurants if you didn't want to eat on property. However, the restaurants on property are excellent too. I am keeping this place on my list.

Excellent place to stay while visiting Busch Gardens and Williamsburg. Kingsmill is well maintained and clean. The shuttle service on site and to Busch Gardens is a real plus. Friendly and helpful staff. We plan to make this an annual event,

Had the pleasure of spending the weekend at Kingsmill this past weekend. What a great property! Played golf at the River course and will come back next time to tackle the Plantation. Food was great and the staff even better!

We visited with another couple and had our son, 10. We wanted a Colonial Williamsburg trip to be educational -- but also have some fun and sun. It was HOT and VERY HUMID. We very much enjoyed the Colony and being at Kingsmill was the perfect later afternoon retreat to "vacation," pool, food and drink. If you are looking to visit Colonial Williamsburg with children (I wouldn't go much younger than 10 to truly appreciate the history) I'd recommend staying here to keep the trip "a vacation" for the younger visitors.

I discovered The Kingsmill Resort back in 2012. Since then we have made the 8 hour drive to this resort ten times, last year 4 times alone. That's how much we love it. The resort has something for everyone. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The resort offers 1-3 bedroom condos with full kitchens, washer/dryers as well as regular resort rooms. I prefer the condos as it gives room to spread out and you can prepare meals. Even if you don't want to prepare meals, there are plenty of options for dining at the resort. The Eagles Club on the golf course is our favorite and have amazing wings. The lazy river is great for kids but I think the hidden gem and least used part of the resort is the beach area located by the James Landing Grill. It is peaceful and beautiful. you can rent jet skis, paddle boards or just swim. By far my favorite thing about this resort is the free shuttle transportation to Busch Gardens and Water Country USA. So easy and convenient. No parking hassles or fees to deal with. They also transport to Colonial Williamsburg. Although I have seen a rise in rates over the last year, I still find it a good overall value for all they offer. Highly recommend this place. They offer 3 categories of rooms and condos, regular, deluxe and river front. We always book a regular condo and I prefer to stay in Pelhams Ordinary. Nice views, closest walk to shuttle. Building number 27 in Padgetts Ordinary is one of our favorites too. But if money is no object go for river front. We were fortunate enough to be upgraded one year as it was not a very busy time and were in a river front condo. The views were amazing. You can't really go wrong anywhere you stay here. Just got back last week from our 3 trip here this year and hoping to return this Fall for Howl-O-Scream. Busch Gardens is one of my favorite parks. Beautiful park with rides for all ages and fantastic value when it comes to theme parks.
