Did not get to spend as much time as I'd hoped here so my review is really just for the grounds - stunning, well maintained - and the room. My friend and I arrived late and we oh-so-tired, so bed was a priority and what a bed! Plush, deep, beautiful sheets - 600 count? - down comforter, lots of pillows, A/C thermostat handy, darkening curtain. I slept eleven straight hours! Will definitely go back so I can spa and dine and walk, it's lovely.

We would stay here again. The rooms are spacious and clean. The shower was large. The swiming pool was nice. The location was a little removed from the historic center of Williamsburg but easy access to all major highways.

We booked a river view room and sure enjoyed our view from the balcony. The room was very spacious and super clean. We enjoyed their beautiful walking trails each morning. We also enjoyed the complimentary coffee in the lobby. The really Star of this resort are the spectacular well kept grounds and views. We had a relaxing vacation! Thanks Kingsmill!! It is a very short drive to Williamsburg, Yorktown and Jamestown and definitely worth staying on the James River! We were sad we didn't have time to use their bikes. We also enjoyed all the fall decorations on the grounds.

For the first time ever we experienced problems. Apparently a resort wide computer shutdown made the front desk and restaurants grind to a halt. Of course the staff stepped up their game and made the most of it, free ice tea was served as folks waited for the system to reboot. The housekeeping staff got folks to their rooms as best they could. The front desk folks handled guests with professionalism on a very hot humid day. Everyone sparkled and avoided what could have been a real mess.

Peaceful and quiet, seems tucked away by the James River with trees everywhere. There is also lots to do here. Spa, golf, tennis, pool, restaurants and a shuttle service to get from here to there. And, near by Kingsmill is Busch Gardens, Jamestown, Williamsburg (old and new), and lots more. Kingsmill has a shuttle to a few of those places too. Our room had a somewhat colonial flair to it. In my opinion, the beds and pillows were comfortable with a fluffy warm duvet. It’s the setting here that I treasure. No traffic or busyness near. A truly restful resort.
