Reviews for Kingsmill Resort

Far from a resort

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 7 hours ago

For the price we paid, there was no soap in the shower container it was empty but we didnt find out til we were in the shower, chips in the tub (looks like it was just painted), 2 paper cups for coffee, we could here walking around from the room above us, doors slamming as well. As an addition. Walking around the room you could feel holes/divets under the carpet. The safe did not work, there were no bottles of water (mid tier hotels even provide this). Want to make sure this doesnt seem like a complain post... towels were plentiful and nice and the food was great along with the drinks. We got a "river view room" which was nice to look over and the property and food/drink was nice. But this is far from being a "resort".

Mother/Daughter Weekend

The resort is very nice but the rooms are dated and the service is not where it should be for the cost of the resort. Don’t go when there is a wedding planned. The spa didn’t have any openings for services

Slow golf

The Kingsmill Resort is a fine resort. I have stayed there many times going back to the 1990s. However my brother and I paid 250$ to play the River course and they never told us they were holding a corporate outing there that day. Incredibly slow play and a terrible experience. You should respect your guests enough not to do that or at least inform them up front.

Guest Accomodations Not Resort Quality

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

The Kingsmill Resort in Williamsburg is an attractive property with well-maintained grounds and golf courses. Inside, the guest accommodations are another story. Our dingy and worn “Deluxe Guest Room” was well past prime. It had a persistent stale and moldy odor and numerous cleanliness issues. The sink in the tiny bathroom would not drain properly even after “service”. The rusty and filthy balcony furniture was not really usable. Housekeeping services must be requested one day in advance. Sorry folks, but this is not what most would consider a high end resort accommodation.

Not the Kingsmill Resort I have been to before.....

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

The condo was spacious and the bed and linens were wonderful. The living room and one of the bedrooms was not prepared for guests. When we called for assistance, only one of the items out of several that needed attention was dealt with..... also there was a lingering mildew odor.

All the comforts of home and the bedding and linens were way too comfortable! Clean and tidy. Our kids loved the whole experience.

Super Super Super service from the staff members we encountered. This is what brings us back twice a year. We LOVE the service.

My family and I recently returned from a 5 night stay at Kingsmill Resort. Our experience was terrific. The resort offered great tennis, golf, fishing, etc. -- so much to do even with a day or two at Colonial Williamsburg and the parks, that we were tempted to stay an extra day... I would recommend this resort without qualification to friends, family and to my company for sales meetings.
