Gorgeous and quiet place. Excellent service. We are living in Beijing and we went end of May on a birthday surprise getaway. The different buildings made of teak are cosy. The bedroom is confortable with a large bed and 2 sofas offering many options to celebrate.

The most outstanding feature of the Belmond Governors Residence is undoubtedly their team of professional staff. From the General Manager Eddie to the Guest Relations team and the restaurant group, they provided us with service very rarely experienced in this day and age - service truly from the heart. The hotel is currently undergoing an upgrading and restoration of the facilities but despite this, it is still extremely comfortable. The atmosphere is completely different to the regular run of the mill 5 star hotel with its colonial feel and open air facilities. We will certainly return in 2018.

Situated on Embassy Row in a quiet green city neighborhood is this wonderful reminder of what the Empire once was. Within walking distance of things important it is a refuge from an encroaching world only recently invited into Myanmar. Smiling faces and never ending courtesies will make your visit one that will never be forgotten.

We stayed only two nights at Belmond Governor's Residence and had an excellent service from the first till the last moment. Special thanks goes to the chef, I have never eaten so perfectly created meals in my life. Hammy the tourguide/costomer relations specialist made our stay even more pleasent. This was not our last visit for sure. Thank you!
