Reviews for Young Island Resort
Booked Young Island as part of a 2 week stay, 1 week in Sandals on Barbados and the 2nd week at Young island. It was booked as a special holiday as it was my birthday the first week and our Ruby Wedding Anniversary the second week. Although we have been to Barbados before this was our first time to the Grenadines, St Vincent and the beautiful Young Island Resort. The journey from the airport takes about 25 minutes, you then take a little ferry boat over to the island. Although it was dark when we arrived you immediately get a feel for the place passing little gazebo's right on the beach that are used for breakfast lunch and dinner. Arriving at reception we were immediately made to feel really welcome with a rum punch and where showed to our beautiful cottage 14 but although amazed by the room we did not get to appreciate the beautiful view until the following day. We have been to the Maldives before but honestly apart from being able to see the mainland you really feel as though you are on a desert island. All food was excellent, breakfast, lunch and dinner. During the earlier part of the week there was only us and 3 other tables and during the later part of the week only us and another couple. It really felt like we had the island to ourself. Days were spent just relaxing, only really moving to get a cocktail or have lunch lol. Some days when there was a cruise ship in port the beach could get busy but the hotel security did an amazing job ensuring that the guests of the island still maintained their peace and tranquility and sun loungers were always available. Evenings were spent enjoying delicious food followed by drinks at the bar. Most evenings we were usually the only ones in the bar. Days on Young Island usually start early and finish early as it is dark around 5.30pm. Make sure you have a walk to sunset point where you can take some amazing photographs of the sunset. On the evening of our Ruby Anniversary we were acknowledged and congratulated by every single member of staff including Bianca the GM. We were allocated a private gazebo for 2 and presented with a card and beautiful cake. We were made to feel so special. The following day my husband enquired about a room upgrade for our last few days and we were amazed and astounded when we were moved to cottage 6, on the beach with a plunge pool, hammock, gazebo and separate lounge area. We were blew away with the cottage. It is by far the best place we have ever stayed and it was complimentary, an anniversary gift for us. I could not name any one member of staff to compliment, they were all fantastic and can’t do enough for you. They certainly made our Ruby Anniversary so very special. Young Island is the perfect place to rest, relax and get away from it all. If you go, you must try the homemade bread which is absolutely delicious. We will 100% be back, I cannot speak highly enough of this wonderful place. thank you all for a wonderful holiday and a very special anniversary.

Spent one night here in transit to Mustique. A very relaxing evening. Excellent service, clean, well-appointed rooms, a quiet night eating dinner right on the beach. Dinner was a buffet, but so many choices, and well seasoned. Very happy to have stayed here. Prefer this to the main island. Multiple villas, so fairly private. Had a cute private outdoor sitting area in our villa, with lounge chairs and a large hammock.

Absolutely stunning resort right outside of Kingstown, St. Vincent. The second you step off the small ferry that takes you to young island you know you've reached paradise. Golden sand beaches greets you along with small huts where you can have a lovely meal on the beach. The rooms are nice and comfortable, and have stunning views of St. Vincent. The staff are more than hospitable and there are heaps of activities to do on the island and only a short boat ride away from st Vincent (literally 2 minutes) and all that is to do there. An absolutely recommended stop if you're in SVG, if not for the stay then come for the BBQ dinner with steel pan music hosted on Fridays. Had the best and biggest stake of my life accompanied by great music. A tropical paradise!

Wow, this is a beautiful tropical little island just a ferry boat ride from Arnos, St Vincent. The flora/ fauna and wildlife are amazing. The suite we booked at the top was a really spacious house inside and out with an amazing view of rock fort (fort duvanette). House keeping was great, bar was great service with quality strength drinks. The restaurant staff were amazingly friendly and welcoming. The reception especially Accommodating arranging even an emergency dentist. We took our two girls (7&9) who really enjoyed themselves and were made to feel at home. Great for snorkelling, boat trips, Kingstown, an amazing beach and a really fun happy team. Definitely recommend and return.

Stayed on Young Island for spring break with my daughter. We had an amazing time. The staff were professional and so nice to us. The best memory is the fresh bread oh my god! Especially the coconut bread, I still dream of it! The cottages were large and spacious. Very clean and modern, with a huge balcony overlooking the beach. Great air conditioning and no bug/mosquito issues. The snorkelling on. The beach wasn't too great, but my daughter enjoyed it. The staff were super helpful in arranging a boat trip to Bequia island. We went to the turtle sanctuary and the chic Princess Margaret beach. Lots of rum punch and a good group of people on the boat with us. It cost approx. $100 USD for me and $60 USD for my daughter. We had the best time that day. Overall it was an amazing luxury trip, that was not expensive. Once you land at the main international airport, it's approx. A 25 mins taxi ride to the resort. Then you take a 5 min boat ride to young island. We went over Easter, so it was a great vibe on the island, since it was a holiday weekend. I highly recommend the resort. The bar is great. The food is fresh and superb. The staff are professional and friendly. A+++
