Stayed on Young Island for spring break with my daughter. We had an amazing time. The staff were professional and so nice to us. The best memory is the fresh bread oh my god! Especially the coconut bread, I still dream of it! The cottages were large and spacious. Very clean and modern, with a huge balcony overlooking the beach. Great air conditioning and no bug/mosquito issues. The snorkelling on. The beach wasn't too great, but my daughter enjoyed it. The staff were super helpful in arranging a boat trip to Bequia island. We went to the turtle sanctuary and the chic Princess Margaret beach. Lots of rum punch and a good group of people on the boat with us. It cost approx. $100 USD for me and $60 USD for my daughter. We had the best time that day. Overall it was an amazing luxury trip, that was not expensive. Once you land at the main international airport, it's approx. A 25 mins taxi ride to the resort. Then you take a 5 min boat ride to young island. We went over Easter, so it was a great vibe on the island, since it was a holiday weekend. I highly recommend the resort. The bar is great. The food is fresh and superb. The staff are professional and friendly. A+++

This was our first time to the Grenadines, St Vincent and the beautiful Young Island Resort. Our visit was part of a three week Anniversary Holiday to celebrate our RUBY Wedding anniversary. Arriving at St Vincent Airport we was meet by our very nice taxi driver Ricky who took us a short 20 minute journey to the key side to board the little ferry boat across to Young Island Resort. We were taken along the pathway past the lovely beach on our left the quaint bar on the right and the lovely gazebo’s which are used for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Arriving at reception Sharna made us very welcome and swiftly checked us in. We were in cottage 14 small and adequate for our needs but maybe needs a set of draws instead of a table and a chair, the view from the decking area was wonderful looking out across the island beach to St Vincent in the back ground. Our RUBY wedding anniversary day was started with Champagne breakfast in a little gazebo by the beach followed by a lazy morning relaxing on the beach & a light lunch. On Returning to our cottage Alysia from housekeeping had decorated our room beautifully with flowers & our cards. In the evening a champagne dinner with a surprise cake and a lovely gift off the manager Bianca Porter & staff. Highlight of our Anniversary was to be upgraded to the Duvernette Suite overlooking Duvernette Fort absolutely fantastic. All the staff at the resort looked after us they can’t do enough for you and made our Anniversary day so special. This resort is a perfect place for special occasions or if you want to wind down from the busy hustle and bustle of life, at times we felt like Robin Crusoe and Lady Friday. There wasn’t a lot of entertainment except for a steel band on Sunday evening may be due to low season and low occupancy this didn’t bother us as it was nice to have quiet evenings and making small talk with the staff. We could not fault the food from breakfast, lunch and dinner especially the homemade bread. This is a resort we will plan to go back to again many thanks to all the staff just a few to mention Bernadine, Alma, Alex, Michelle, Cheryl, Tanisha, James, Neil, Kana, Fedarico Prince, Vidal, Charles, Lenox, Lenroy, Denroy, Ashley, Carl, Bertie, Hamas, Garnet, Luann, Laura, Zo, Pauline, you’re not forgotten if your name is not mentioned. Until we meet again thank you all for a wonderful anniversary and holiday Y&R XX

This was the best part of my st vincent mainland trip. The beach here is amazing and the drinks in the bar was great. The owners of the facility are very smart they shuttle guest and visitors to this private island for FREE... all you do is walk down to Villa Beach Peir and there is a phone on the green building facing the peir labelled Young Island Shuttle. Simply pick it up and call the captain of the boat requesting a pick up. He will come and in mins you will be on the island. Use of the white sand beach and shuttle is free for you fiscally frugal travels. But for me my friends and i went to the bar had drinks and snacks which costed 40US for four persons. Was not bad at all. When we had our fill of the hammocks, beach and beach chairs we headed back to the mainland for FREE. Sometimes you can experience the finer things in life for FREE. Try it trust me you will do it again and again. I will rank this #1 things to do in St Vincent.

Spent the weekend with my family at this resort. Had visited before for lunch, but never stayed. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The cottage was roomy, clean, and simply furnished. We expected a few more luxury touches based on the reputation of the resort, but everything we needed was there. We enjoyed the deck with the hammock, but my daughter did not like the outside shower. My kids and I spent time exploring the island. We played tennis, enjoyed the pool and the beach, went kayaking, and took a water taxi and climbed the nearby Fort. It was quite an adventure for my kids. We also enjoyed the food. The meals were simple, but elegant and delicious. My kids are still raving about the Cinnamon Bread. I enjoyed West Indian breakfast, and several of the seafood offerings. I dock one star because of one of the nights we had a wedding to contend with. The music from the DJ was extremely loud and because of the location of our cottage we received the full brunt of the noise. Whilst we were told at the time of booking about the wedding, we really were not prepared for that. So will I go back? Yes. Next time maybe without the kids, just the wife, and will definitely ask for a different cottage.

My husband and I used to stay here often. We brought our then teenage children a couple of times, too. We recently were in St. Vincent staying with friends and decided to go to Young Island for their Sunday Curry lunch buffet. In a nutshell, it was a MAJOR disappointment. Instead of curry goat, which we were all craving, we got chewy beef curry. The only other curry dish was chick peas. Other dishes were unimaginative and one was spaghetti!! Dessert was fresh fruit, some kind of pudding and 2 DRY kinds of cake. The only good part of the meal was the fresh baked bread but they weren't offering banana bread at that meal--another disappointment. What we paid for 5 people to have lunch was ridiculous and certainly not a good value. Luckily we have friends who live in St. Vincent and we stay with them now since we wouldn't choose to stay on Young Island again--or even go back for another meal.
