My partner and I have stayed in Yountville many times before, so our expectations are high when we visit. This place did not disappoint. This trip, we were staying with two other couples and the entire weekend was great. The food, service, grounds, rooms, gym, and other amenities were fantastic. A very luxurious feel.

Prices are high but worth every penny! Every detail is thought out and splendid. We met Jillian at the front desk and asked where to go and what to do and she did right by us! She recommended tastings and who to go see at each vineyard and we had our tastings presented to us for free because they obviously thought as highly of her as we did. Bed was great and the room was quiet and very well appointed, but the service took it to the next level. We needed a break from reality and the staff did just that for us. Thanks everyone!

My husband, 7 year old son and I stayed at Bardessono for two nights in March for an early anniversary celebration. I think some of the other luxury resorts in the area may offer a different atmosphere (e.g. rooms spread out as cottages and less modern), but Bardessono is quite lovely in its own right and there has been much attention to detail throughout: We had a Steam King room which was on the ground floor, with an outdoor patio with two lounge chairs and a table, as well as an outdoor shower (which was accessible from the indoor shower--very cool). We were welcomed with champagne and fruit awaiting us in our room. The architecture and landscaping is lovely and extremely relaxing, and the location is extremely convenient, as you can simply walk across the street to the center of Yountville and dine at Bouchon Bistro or Ottimo or many other restaurants, or grab a croissant at Bouchon Bakery. As you walk through the property you hear the sounds of water , smell heavenly fragrant trees, see olive trees and beautiful art. We did not take advantage of the elevated pool, which looks fabulous, or the spa, as we simply did not have the time. Our son absolutely loved the bubbling jacuzzi, and the outdoor shower was awesome. The ONLY thing I missed while in our room at this resort was a view--you can request an upstairs room for that (and miss out on the outdoor shower)--although they have done a good job with the design of the outdoor space of these rooms. The room was beautiful, with a gas fireplace you could light at the touch of a button, and electric blinds (much needed in the evening because otherwise there was an upstairs room across that I felt might be able to see our bed--but perhaps not as there were tinted windows). REN bath products also awesome. Service was excellent. Finally, I must note that the resort concierge, Matt, was super helpful in planning our visits to a couple of wineries before we even arrived. Overall I loved staying here on our first trip to Napa Valley.

To start with, the staff, especially Jillian and Joseph, were top notch. From arrival to departure, our needs were surpassed by the attentiveness and efficiency of the staff. The hotel itself is a zen masterpiece. The public areas, with their water features, calm your senses even before entering your room. Hidden massage tables in the bathroom area, luxurious beds, giant champagne tubs, and private patios are your own private paradise. Matt, the concierge, easily handles dinner reservations, tastings, and whatever you need. Lucy, the restaurant, was fantastic. As a matter of fact, after exhausting days of wine tastings (hey, someone's gotta do it), we would order room service from Lucy. Everything on their menu (especially the beet salad and the risotto) was amazingly prepared and so very fresh. Breakfast pastries come from Bouchon, so be sure to enjoy the scones! The hotel is in the middle of Yountville, so restaurants (and wine tastings) are within walking distance. The town is so beautiful, with gardens and fun buildings, walking trails (take the one behind the hotel to the gorgeous neighborhood behind) and happy people.
