We were on honeymoon and have booked the hotel quite in a last minute attitude. Sure I was a bit not sure since I never stayed there before, but we were not disappointed at all. We arrived at the hotel and were welcomed by the receptionist and just few second later came Anja (whom I didn’t know who she is at that point) she explained us every single thing in the resort and about it, we were so warmed welcomed that we immediately felt home. Anja apologized for the seaweed on the beach and informed us it is cleaned and removed on regularly basis, which is true by the way, but it keeps coming off shore again. Later I got to know she is the General Manager, I was surprised because she takes so much care about her guests and her team. She has such a passion for what she is doing. The villa we had was very nice nothing is missing in it we were welcomed by fruits and cookies, place is so clean the villa in general is perfect size well and nicely furnished. Everybody at the resort is helpful and so well informed about the resort. Landscaping around the place is very nice we were able to get bicycles from the hotel and roam around in the resort was nice activity. Unfortunately we didn’t have enough time to explore the SPA but I am sure it is a very good one. The food was good and the chef accommodated my request for being vegetarian, the restaurant team is well trained and very warmly with the guests. Life entertainment was fund and nice. Anja invited us for Champaign to celebrate our honeymoon and the organized for us a romantic dinner. Everything was perfect Thank you all for making our honeymoon so special.

Sadly, for the money I had expected the experience to be much nicer. The infrastructure is there for it to be a luxury resort, but the rest of the services are lacking. The rooms are beautiful, the communal and private pools are very pretty. If you're looking for white sands, this is not the resort for you. The water in front of the hotel is full of coral and rocks. The beach is covered in seaweed and garbage. For an isolate hotel, I'd be fascinated to know where all the trash was coming from... I imagine that in the high/peak season they may try to take better care of the beach, but at this cost, I expect that they tend to it year-round. I do imagine that the coral makes for good snorkeling when its not low tide. If you're looking to easily wade into the water and take a swim - this is not the place for you. The rocks can be tough on your feet. I also ended up sitting on the beach chairs without padding - none of the staff on the beach came over to provide pads for the lounges so I laid directly on the wood with a towel - not comfortable. On a positive note - there are a lot of water activities available. We went kayaking which was nice. It was good to get off the beach. The food is not up to par. I was expecting a lot of local flavors and spices as I had experienced elsewhere on the island. The one night when there was a buffet, the restaurant had the best options. The rest of the time I was there it was a set menu - the food is OK but you could have been anywhere. I expected delicious, upscale twists on traditional Zanzibari meals, but instead I was offered European/continental - very unexciting and dull. Also I was there during the rainy season, I went looking for activities that were offered on the daily menu. When I went to reception for henna they pointed me to the kids club. When I went to the club, there was no one there - it was closed. So much for offering rainy day activities. Overall, the hotel is not worth the money. For an exotic beach vacation (which was also my honeymoon), I expect a beautiful, well-maintained beach and outstanding meals. If you're fine settling for a pool and standard food - go for it.

My wife and I spent a little under a week in a Premier Oceanfront Villa for our honeymoon at the end of April. The villa and grounds are beautiful, and the service is largely fantastic. On our (late) arrival, our villa had been prepared beautifully for us, with welcome baskets containing meats, cheeses, and fruits, and with romantic flowers and candles leading to the bedroom. Room service was also complimentary as we were half board but had missed dinner due to our late arrival. Nice touches. While it was the end of the rainy season, we had a great time relaxing in our villa and in our private pool between rain showers. Neither the wind or tide were favorable for boating activities, but we got to enjoy wandering through the coral with reef shoes from the boat house - lots of colorful starfish once you get out far enough! We also had a lovely time with our bicycles and thoroughly enjoyed massages at the spa. The complimentary canapes on the jetty were delicious, romantic, and well served (those little club sandwiches in particular are amazing!), although we were a little disappointed we had to enjoy them in the dark for whatever reason. Although the quality of the food varied between themed nights at the buffet, the restaurant service led by Rahul was phenomenal. On our last night, we even had a romantic private honeymoon tent where the musical entertainment serenaded us and the staff sent us off with a song and a tasty cake for our honeymoon. We obviously had a great time, so why can't we give 5 stars? The biggest reason would have to be our departure. We had an early morning flight out of ZNZ and I had paid for airport transfer at 0500 hours while checking out the night before. Confirmation of the same was actually printed out and left in our villa by hotel staff. After getting our wake up call and coffee delivered on schedule at 0430 and our buggy to reception at 0455, we arrived at reception only to find out that the lone, and apparently new, reception staff knew nothing about an airport transfer. It took him 30 minutes to find a driver for us and we arrived at the airport with 5 minutes before the check in counter closed. This was not a cheap airport transfer to begin with, so obviously we were more than a little miffed at this, and it was an unnecessarily stressful end to an otherwise relaxing stay.

The resort is indeed beautiful but it is the right place if all you need is a pool. There is tons of rubbish accumulated on the beach by the sea current. I have attached pictures after i waited few hours but the hotel did not do anything to collect Probably as it was low season they might have thought not many people would want to be by the beach The food is good but the higenic conditions are poor. There are stray cats going around, jumping on the buffet table and licking cuttleries used to serve food. I raised the point few times but it was unheard The staff is extremely attentive and helpful on the other hand. On more thing, i was disappointed with, was the transfer organization. I believe that there is a price difference due probably to the quality of the car but we were quoted by the hotel 125usd versus a very decent transfer for 40 usd.... it feel as general that people want to take advantage and spoil the tourism. Likewise the water in bottle in the room or at breakfast is free but then they charge you by the pool and at the restaurant with 5usd, not offering any other alternative. The hotel location on the island is nt great either. Far away from the beautiful beaches and places of tourist attractions. Overall for the same amount of money there are other valid offers if your intention is to have some sea time:) I believe i have not forgotten anything if you decide to go, enjoy the free bike rent and the private pools.

It was a great short stay. Everything is amazing. Our villa was big, two rooms, incredible bathroom and swimming pool. Hotel area is huge. We used bikes to walk around. The main swimming pool is very big and clean. Very warm and friendly ambiance. Food is also super. Only good and warm memories. Thank you!!!
