If you want to get away this is your place. If you like a beautiful beach, big surf, quaint restaurant, small pool, quite place, then this is your place. My group was lucky on the day we were there because at 5:30 pm the hotel had arranged to release baby turtles into the ocean. It was a real treat for the kids in our group. It's all about the relaxation, it's is a hidden treasure.

This beautiful property is located on the secluded Playa Blanca beach, just about 15-20 minutes outside of downtown Zihuatanejo. Our suite had two bedrooms, three bathrooms and a kitchen, fridge, microwave and stove. There was also a speaker system to play our music through bluetooth, which was great. The bathrooms are really pretty with lots of stone details and the rest of the space is very modern. We also loved the small plunge pool on the patio outside our room. There were a few misses with our room though. It seemed there was something missing on the main living room wall, as there were some nails sporadically placed on the bare wall, and the living room table made of wicker had a large hole in it. We also never got a warm shower the entire stay, which is usually ok coming out of the sun, but in the morning not so much! The grounds are stunning, with two infinity pools that have a view of the grounds and the ocean. There are also lots of comfy lounge chairs and a huge beach swing. The Beach Club is a really cute area with a little bar and table seating for dinner. The food is delicious - we loved the Tuna Tostadas! However, it can get expensive to eat there for every meal. Also, the dinner menu is set each night, so there aren't a whole lot of options. However, I think this makes everything very fresh. The service and hospitality was wonderful for our entire stay. Everyone was constantly checking to see if there was anything they could do to better our stay, which is appreciated. The only other thing to consider is that it is not an adults only resort. For how remote and private it is from everything, this was sort of a let down for my husband and me as it took away from some of that exclusiveness. All in all, we truly enjoyed our stay at Las Palmas and would recommend it to anyone looking for a getaway with nice amenities.

I had never stayed at Las Palmas Beachfront Villas before, or even been to the Zihuatanejo / Ixtapa area. I was looking for something in a less well known costal Mexican city at a somewhat secluded Hotel. My expectations were not set very high when booking. What we got was so much more than we expected! Las Palmas Beachfront Villas was AMAZING! The service was friendly and fantastic. The food in the Las Palmas restaurant, although not the least expensive meals we ate while we were there, was delicious! They served local flavors of fresh foods that was cooked to order when ordered. I was NEVER disappointed. In fact I discovered new food there I will look for in the future when dining on "authentic Mexican cuisine. And don't get me started on the room. We shared a 2 bedroom Villa with some close friends we traveled with. The room was absolutely over the top. High line finishes throughout! I can't say enough. We had our own private small pool ON OUR 2nd STORY BALCONY! Two of the 4 walls in our main living area opened up to the balcony to make it an open air room. The master suite wall opened up as well to pass through to the balcony, the pool, and down to the beach. The view from our bed was 5 STAR! From the large granite kitchen island to the huge stainless fridge to the all 4 foot marble tiled floors to the giant walk in showers, I thought I was in some millionaires tropical penthouse. They had carefully groomed gardens, 2 huge negative edge pools, and a stretch of beach that went on for miles uninhabited in either direction. I am a well traveled scuba diver and I make it a point to never travel to the same place more than once...there is just too much world out there to see. Will my wife and I return to Las Palmas Beachfront Villas in Zihuantanejo??? Oh yeah, we definitely will.

Everything about this place is built towards your relaxation. Each unit faces the ocean so you can both hear and see the waves. The weather is a perfect mid 80's in the winter. Numerous oceanside seating with no vendors pushing stuff on you. Excellent food coming out of their restaurant all day. If you need to recharge - this is the place.

Walking to our room across an infinity pool, by stepping large flat rocks, really set the tone. It was like entering another world. Everyone we met, staff and guests, were wonderful. The staff was exceptional; friendly, helpful and anticipating our every need. What a beautiful resort. 9 miles of empty beach, very comfortable, quiet, private villas, all with excellent views of the empty beach and ocean. We also happened to luck into the Sail Fest in Zihua, where sailboats from all over were taking guests out for a small donation to the local schools. We are going back soon!
