We stayed at Rhett House Inn several years ago and had wonderful memories of our stay. We couldn't wait to visit again in April 2024. Unfortunately our experience was not one that I will ever want to repeat. We stayed in room 14. Online the pictures of the room look nice. Unfortunately the room was so bad and dirty that we discussed leaving immediately. The carpet in the room was disgusting. When we notified management someone did come and clean it, but it was still badly stained and needs to be removed. Additionally, the room is tiny, dark and dingy. The "separate sitting area" is nothing but a chair in the corner. I wanted to love the inn as much this time as I did last time, but I won't stay at Rhett House again.

My husband and I stayed for the weekend at the Rhett House Inn and I can say it’s now our favorite B&B! Room #10 was just perfect for us! The room was appointed with a variety of antiques, has a private screened porch, roomy bathroom, and the most comfortable bed! Needless to say, we will stay here again without a doubt during our next visit to Beaufort! Oh, and thanks to the chef for the bacon on our early morning departure ;-)

If you are going to Beaufort and want to stay within walking distance of the harbour and sights, then this is the place to stay. I have stayed at Rhett numerous times. The rooms are comfortable and the staff are welcoming. The house has a nice airy feel to it and the grounds and gardens are well kept and have seats around to sit and socialise with family/friends! Parking is free and available at the back or side of the house. Chef Beverly’s breakfast is good and makes a nice start to your day. I highly recommend.

Rooms were very spacious. Extremely close proximity to downtown and restaurants. Breakfast was delicious! The wait staff were attentive and helpful. The breakfast offerings were extensive. The chef has been given awards for her grits and we agreed they were amazing. Biscuits are handmade and mouth watering. Worth a trip when in Beaufort.

Lovely place with all the southern charm you would expect. The greeting (first impression) was friendly and the Inn was comfortable and inviting. We had easy parking out back, but the lot was full. Our room was downstairs and I would suggest using the lower front door to bring in luggage rather than navigating the steep stairs. I was surprised to read some of the reviews of breakfast, but they actually panned out. We asked for items missing like milk for coffee and butter for toast and they never came. It does take a while for the kitchen to respond to orders when it’s busy. As an ex-owner of a B and B, this is an area to address asap. It is the last impression of the guests so it will be lasting. Overall we liked the Inn, large room and its location and would recommend a stay.
