There aren't enough words to describe how thrilled I was woth the staff, room, restaurant at the Inn. Such a fantastic old boutique hotel with first clasd gourmet dining in the restaurant onsite. I was greeted by name before I said a word. Delicious cookies and fruit were waiting in my room and turn down service already provided for my late arrival. Aveda bath and body products provided in the bathroom. The best boutique experience I've had anywhere!

My wife and I booked the date night package and had a wonderful stay at the Inn! All the staff from the valet, front desk, bell boy and waiting staff were very professional and accommodating! The dinner experience was also exceptional and well worth the price. They even had a pianist playing and singing while you dine! The waiting staff was very attentive and would like to compliment the chef for the delicious red snapper and mushroom ravioli. The room was very cozy and prepared with complimentary cookies and desserts spread all around the room, which was a huge plus! We will definitely come back!

Good restaurant and bar, but not a recommended hotel for business as limited facilities. Room I stayed in was small, noisy (train noise, flag pole noise etc), the heating could only be adjusted by the front desk etc.

After having a wonderful meal at their restaurant a few months ago, I was curious about the inn itself. The lobby is so cozy and quaint. So I stayed for 2 nights. Old hotels can be tricky. Some are old in a charming way. Others are old in a tired way. I'd say the Bernards Inn is somewhere in between. The room was spacious, but the bathroom was small and there wasn't a counter to place your toiletries. I ended up using the bureau right outside the bathroom. Some other things to note: - you can't control the heat from your room, so you have to ask the front desk whenever you want it warmer or cooler - it took a couple of minutes to get hot water from the sink - the floors creak, so ask for a room on the top floor If you're tired of all the chain hotels in this area, I'd recommend the Bernards Inn. Any employees I encountered were super friendly.

The bed was so comfortable and even though we were only staying one night it was most definitely worth it. The rooms are spacious, clean, and cozy. We were not staying in Bernardsville long so we didn't take advantage of the on sight bar and restaurant but we've heard great things. Next time we'll definitely check it out.
