Reviews for Adair Country Inn & Restaurant

Home away from home

We are seniors who travel a lot and enjoy staying at country inns. We have stayed at Adair 4 times or more times. It is our go to place in this area. I wrote a review in the past. In short -- no complaints. The room is spotless, updated with many electrical plugs, nice puffy towels, quiet, and romantic. We have stayed in 3 different rooms. They were all nice; of course the bigger rooms were roomier. There is coffee and tea available 24 hours a day. The full country breakfast was amazing with a popover each morning. There are walking trails on the property to enjoy. I love sitting outside in the nice weather looking at the mountainside. I noticed snowshoes for guest to use in the winter. Staff: I felt very safe at all times. Ohhh, my husband left his iPad in the room when we checked out and when we called to see if it had been found--- the maid had brought it to the office for safety-- nice honesty! The staff is very nice, friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Prices: The Pub now has Après in the late afternoon which is great for those who want a small dinner. Dinner in the restaurant was memorable, well presented, excellent, and romantic near the fire place. Very upscale. If the price is to expensive for you--save and then go-- Make the memories. We go midweek and because we can and because it is more in our budget. Television: We don't care that there is no TV in the room. It gives me a reason to relax and read. The television is in the rec room with a nice pool table, games, and an area to meet other guests. Other guests we spoke to had been there several times too. Would we return? Oh, definitely.

Warm stay on a freezing weekend

We had a comfortable stay at Adair, with attentive service and great food. I had reserved the Lincoln Room, but we were upgraded to the Huntington, which is a bit larger and has a fireplace. It's on the 3rd floor -- very quiet and with lovely views. The innkeepers must know how important coffee is to many travelers, because there are several options: Nespresso in the room, Keurig in the hallway, and coffee with breakfast. Breakfast was delicious, with several plated options each day. For dinner, my companion loved her pan-roasted beef. My lamb chops were perfect - the chimichurri sauce was not too garlicky and had a nice hint of mint. Staff was friendly and helpful. Help with bags is readily available.

Perfection

This B&B is perfection - beautiful scenery, attentive service, gorgeous and romantic house and rooms, and delicious dinner. Stayed here for a quick 1 night, wished we could stay for much longer. Don’t wait to book this - you won’t regret it.

A wonderful romantic weekend getaway

Adair Country Inn is a quintessential NE bed and breakfast. Less than a mile off the highway, on 200 acres, it’s a perfect getaway in every season. Breakfast a lovely, and appropriately portioned. Rooms are clean and comfortable and room images are accurate. The grounds are lovely year round. I highly recommend booking dining reservations as well - the food is fresh and creative and incredibly well done. I also encourage you to reach out to Mia, a private contractor who provides in room massage - she was incredible.

We returned to Adair Country Inn for a few days at the end of December, an enjoyable and relaxing end to 2023, and start of the New Year. It was our fourth visit to Adair since we 'found' it in March of 2022. And for the fourth time, our stay was perfect! Our room was clean and comfortable, as always. The property is quiet and peaceful, precisely what we generally seek. Our bed was spacious and so comfortable I managed to forget about my aching back. And as a genuine dog-friendly property, our border collie mix Lola can explore enough land and trails that even she gets tired! The inn itself is beautiful and full of character...pretty simple, but very nice. Fresh popovers each morning are a nice touch, followed by a tasty twist on a traditional breakfast. And our dinners in the restaurant were tremendous. Chef is a champ! The entire staff is friendly and accommodating, happy to help with anything. We look forward to our next visit!
