Beautiful place is a stunning setting. Fab food and very helpful with my vegan needs!

Beautiful place and set within stunning Bolton Abbey area. Staff are very engaging and helped tremendously with my vegan diet needs. Couldn't do enough! Well worth a visit for food. Didn't visit for hotel or spa experience but the whole place looked idyllic!

Disappointingly average

Rooms small but a little tired. Prices were more in line with a Michelin starred hotel but which the restaurant no longer has. Staff were pleasant but lacked attention to detail. Basically the service did not reflect the price. Lunch in the conservatory lacked imagination and service by our server was poor. The one positive is it is very dog friendly. We would not stay again. We raised our concerns with the hotel by email but not received a response.

Relaxing stay in beautiful countryside.

Excellent service, friendly and efficient staff. Nothing is too much trouble. Great food in the Brasserie. The Spa experience is wonderful too, very relaxing. I didn’t have any treatments this time but I have previously and they were fabulous.

Always good(with some reservations)

Had many a stay here, the room was lovely. One has to get used to the endless"musak"which seems to permeate the whole place.Had supper at the brasserie,at least fish and chips are a safe option. The cheesboard consisted of 3 minute slices of different cheeses which would barely satisfy an emaciated mouse, and at £14 was quite ridiculous. The beer had a 50%mark up on pub prices. The wines on show on the walk through area are quite impressive,Angelus.Latour,Haut Brion,Margaux,in their wooden boxes.I wonder what the mark up would be on these?Enjoyed our stay, even though self service at breakfast has disappeared.
