My international Girlfriends and I had a "Spa Day" and a friend recommended that we try the Spa at the Inn By the Sea - it was AMAZING! Your given robes & sandals and refreshing beverages, then taken into a soothing room with just the right music and lighting. The masseur was great & I was so relaxed! After the massages, we enjoyed the Steam Room & experience shower (a must!) then walked down to the secluded and beautiful crescent beach via the private board walk - quintessential MAINE! You don't have to stay overnight to enjoy one of the best properties in Maine! Highly recommend for locals and visitors alike!

My wife and I just returned form Inn by the Sea and everyone was great. The beach suites were extremely large and convenient to everything. Extremely large bathrooms and mini kitchens as well as L'occitane amenities. The staff is always smiling and helpful and truly an ensemble cast of characters. I do not think I ever heard anyone say "no" or we can't do that. They anticipate all your needs. Beautiful campus and the physical plant is well maintained daily. It is a very small property with all the amenities of a 5 star hotel. The Spa is luxurious and the property is right on Crescent beach and is a very short walk to the ocean. The Restaurant is a five star dining experience with a very deep and interesting wine cellar. One of the best Lobster Rolls I have ever had and I had always wanted to stay here as we were visiting our daughter's camp and stay 4 days about an hour north in another very nice property. We already booked next year as this property is true unique and special. Highly recommend the beach suites. Property is only a 10 min drive to Portland although you really do not need to leave the property and anywhere off campus will disappoint. Very well heeled travelers here as well. We did not expect this property to be as great as it was. This is a very special property!

I just recently went to see glass restaurant for lunch. I have always enjoyed dining on the porch overlooking the water. I looked for my usual fish tacos that I enjoy so much however the menu has changed. My substitute turkey and cheese sandwich was OKbut rather unremarkable for the $16 plate. My companion had chicken salad wrap. The lunch menu seems very typical and not as interesting as it once was. Fries with it were tasty (albeit quite salty!).

My family of four was lucky enough to stay for two nights in the brand new Cove Suites. More like an apartment than a hotel room, it was a fully appointed, two bedroom getaway that is perfect for a family. We loved it. A kitchen and living area the led out onto a balcony that overlooked the Inn's yard. You could see the ocean and the boats bobbing offshore or watch the guests hang out by the fire pit or by the pool. The kitchen has a refrigerator, stove, microwave, pots and pans, silverware, dishes, a few appliances--basically everything you'd need to throw together a meal for a family. We chose the restaurant, though, which while being pricey is wonderful. We also enjoyed the brand new sets of board games, and used them several times during out stay. The staff went out of their way for us, and made us feel welcome no matter where we went on the property. This is a place we could come back again and again, and I hope we do.

Our family of 4 stayed here for two nights in July 2017. We were not disappointed at all! Our suite was spacious, and had one king bed and a sleeper sofa. We stayed in a Garden Suite and had direct access to the garden on ground level which was very convenient. The only downside was the ceiling insulation was a little thin, so we could hear all the footsteps in the room above us. It wasn't a deal breaker for us, but if it bothers you then definitely ask the reservations department when you book your room to stay on a higher level. The entire staff was very friendly and welcoming. There is a boardwalk leading to the beach, which is beautiful and peaceful. We were able to see seals swimming! The resort is dog-friendly, and we loved how the staff fosters a dog that is available to adopt and we were able to take the dog for a few walks since we were missing our dog back at home. We would definitely return and recommend the Inn By The Sea to any friends and family visiting the Cape Elizabeth area.
