We had a wonderful visit. Our suite was fantastic with a beautiful view. We spent the afternoon with our daughter, enjoyed a light meal in the bar (excellent lobster tacos & chowder) and a pleasant evening relaxing in the comfortable living room. The noon checkout made for a relaxing morning as well. My wife and daughter have stayed here before, but this was my first visit. We'll definitely be back.

Words don't do this place justice. From the kindness of the staff, the location, the rooms, we were so impressed. We enjoyed the heated pool, the gym, and the spa. They even had a dog sitter available for our pups. We will definitely stay here again!

This is a nice hotel with a few minor issues to make it a "great" hotel. What they do very well: Nice welcome. We were greeted and had no problems getting to our room. We were even surprised with some Champagne. The room was comfortable and appointed with nice furniture and all the amenities you would expect - plus a bonus with a gas fireplace. The location is great and is within a few minutes of several parks and easy driving distance to Old Portland restaurants of which there are many great selections. Their fitness center is well-equipped and properly outfitted. If you have a dog - this is the place for you. It was obvious that they have a great deal of guests that travel with their dogs and enjoy getting to stay at a nice "pet friendly" hotel. The fire pit with smores is a popular feature and a nice touch. Kids enjoy playing in the yard with lush green grass and Mom will appreciate the stunning tulip garden. Needs Improvement: The fireplace never did work. They apparently have ongoing problems with their fireplaces keeping the pilot light on. So I recommend not "counting on" there being a working fireplace so that you are pleasantly surprised if it does work. There is construction going on at the property. While the noise level from this area was low while we were there I expect there will be guests interrupted by the sounds of saws and hammers until the construction is finished. You may want to inquire about getting a room away from the noise. Although we stayed for 3 nights, we were somehow missed for daily cleaning service one of those. It wasn't for lack of opportunity as we were away from the property for most of the day. I would recommend that you avoid any cocktails made in the hotel bar. Stick to basics as they seem to lack the ability to properly craft a good mixed drink. They are happy to list custom drinks at premium prices - but you will likely be disappointed with the result. The wi-fi here is not good. We had working wi-fi in our room about a third of the time we needed to use it. We were able to get working wi-fi about half the time in the common area (bar) of the hotel. Overall this is a nice hotel in a great location. If you have a dog this is probably the best "pet friendly" hotel there is.

A very quaint place away from the noise of the city, very quiet. Every person I met in the staff was very pleasant. A great place to go to get away from the hustle and bustle of life. A short 2 minute walk to the beach. Every room seems to have a beautiful view.

This inn is beautiful, beautifully maintained, and the staff is the best anyway! Our dog Hazel was treated like a superstar, as were we. We cannot wait to return again, and will do so as soon as possible.
