Wonderful stay
What a wonderful and cute inn. Conveniently located to downtown Carmel. Loved the breakfast and complimentary goodies in the room. Room was clean. I would definitely stay here again.

Nice inn. Bad night of sleep.
This review is all about the bed. The staff was great - super friendly, and helpful. Location? Great - walking distance to shops, beach - perfect. Breakfast? Decent - it arrived on time, and they had a decent selection of things to choose from. Parking - perfect. Off street parking is a must in Carmel. The room - pretty, clean. Fireplace - cozy. The bed? Never had a worse night of sleep. They had a french feather bed topper on the mattress. Problem is - the mattress had a huge bow in the middle so that, combined with the feather bed made the experience lumpy, soft and awful. The pillows - while feather - were rock hard. My husband and I each tried three different pillows with no luck. My husband can sleep anywhere -- and he had back spasms from the bed in room 10. I read all the reviews off Google, and TripAdvisor before booking. I was disappointed that we slept so poorly as others have not had similar experiences. I booked this inn as a present to myself for my birthday. We had a nice weekend overall, but I probably won't spend money with them again.

A great location with all the perfect amenities. We loved having a fireplace and breakfast in our room was a perfect way to start our day.

A wonderful hotel in Carmel by the sea
The Carriage House Inn is one of our favorite hotels. The location cannot be beat. Walking distance to shops, restaurants and the beach. The rooms are spacious and immaculate with a cozy fireplace. The breakfast is delivered to your room daily and is delicious. There is a small basket of snacks and beverages provided which is a thoughtful touch.

Delightful getaway
If you’re going to Carmel, stay here! The staff is warm and inviting, the wine/hors d’œuvres delightful, breakfast was delicious and served to your room piping hot, and the location could not be better. We walked everywhere. Trying to figure out how soon we can return! Thanks, MICHELKE.
