A piece of heaven in Carmel Valley.
It doesn't get better than Bernardus and we've been there many times. Carmel Valley is beautiful with easy access to the town of Carmel. The setting and the property are spectacular; the rooms are well decorated, comfortable and very clean; The restaurant, Lucia, is fabulous and the hotel staff is so friendly and accommodating. My husband lost his wallet, they found it and we had it the next day. It's a favorite destination for us!

Perfect place to be pampered on a Girls Getaway or for a Couples recharge. The grounds at the resort are lovely and the staff and amenities will leave you feeling pampered & refreshed during your stay.

Beautiful Resort in a Tranquil setting. Very relaxing.
Bernardus is our Go To place in the Carmel / Monterey area. The grounds are beautiful, the rose gardens are not to be missed. Staff are all friendly and receptive. Overall the facilities are top notch and Bernardus never feels crowded. Very peaceful and serene and dog friendly as well.

Beautiful property
It’s truly a spectacular property - you really don’t have to leave although the surrounding area is beautiful. The staff were great. Only advice I’d give is if it’s possible book a villa or room that is upstairs as if you’re on the ground floor it can be quite noisy from persons staying above you. Otherwise the rooms are great and well appointed.

"The Bernardus Lodge was wonderful. My husband and I spent our anniversary weekend at the lodge and found it very relaxing, romantic and the service was beyond exceptional. They were attentive to every need and always made us feel like their top priority. We also visited the spa and had a wonderful experience. We will definitely go back!"
