Bernardus is the Best!
The rooms are the best I've stayed in, so well-appointed and comfortable. Highly recommend trying their suites for the added space and patio experience! Everyone on their team is so kind and very knowledgeable. We felt welcome everywhere! It was such a great anniversary trip. They had a thoughtful amenity arranged for us. Our only regret was not setting aside time for a spa treatment.

10/10 stay!! If you're looking for a relaxing, luxurious stay in the Carmel area, look no further. Every part of this stay was extraordinary, from the accommodations to the F&B to the complimentary use of the Mercedes vehicles to explore the area. Could not recommend enough times!

The resort & spa are absolutely beautiful! The property is stunning throughout with excellent customer service. Mercedes are available free of charge with room.

No More Perks
Beautiful resort and even the basic rooms are beautiful, large and comfortable. The resort is intimate and peaceful in a pretty setting in Carmel Valley. However, overpriced and they don't bend on check-in or check-out times. They are a member of iPrefer but they don't offer any of the stated perks so don't expect anything other than the basics. No room upgrades for repeat customers either. We preferred the more personalized level of service they had before. The prices have gone up but what you get in return has gone down. No longer our favorite in the Carmel area.

Best of the best in Carmel Valley.
My wife and I planned a trip to Monterey County six months ago and decided to splurge on three nights at the best resort in the area. We booked a room at the Bernardus Lodge and Spa, and were blown away. The room was luxurious and well designed. Although the Resort was at near full occupancy, and was accommodating both a wedding party and a corporate event, it felt nearly empty. The restaurant, Lucia, has a menu to satisfy the most discerning tastes, and the service was attentive, but not imposing. The grounds are well designed and beautifully maintained. We will not hesitate to stay at the Bernardus when next we visit.

"The Bernardus Lodge was wonderful. My husband and I spent our anniversary weekend at the lodge and found it very relaxing, romantic and the service was beyond exceptional. They were attentive to every need and always made us feel like their top priority. We also visited the spa and had a wonderful experience. We will definitely go back!"
