Beautiful property for a truly relaxing stay
Second stay, really love the beauty and calmness of the property (though there are plenty of families with kids, and traveling dogs here). Fortunately it's a large campus with lots of outdoor seating areas & beautiful landscaping. Rooms are large and clean, all have been updated and modernized, with private patios. Bathrooms are beautiful, two sinks, separate tub & shower, a water closet with door, and heated floors. Staff is super friendly and helpful. There is a beautiful restaurant, bar, and a casual outdoor dining patio. Only minor critique is that the menus are small, would appreciate a larger variety of food.

I’d look elsewhere
The experience was underwhelming and not worth the cost and time. We had multiple problems with front desk, in-room dining and spa. What should have been a romantic celebration was disappointing weekend given the mediocre staff performance and an unresponsive manager (who reached out but never followed up).

Beautiful hotel in a great location. Rooms and amenities amazing. Hidden costs let it down (including $30 to simply park your car on the property!).

We have enjoyed Bernardus for 25+ years. It is a fabulous place to relax, enjoy the amenities and location. It’s a bonus to have a spacious room where we can enjoy indoors or outdoors.

"The Bernardus Lodge was wonderful. My husband and I spent our anniversary weekend at the lodge and found it very relaxing, romantic and the service was beyond exceptional. They were attentive to every need and always made us feel like their top priority. We also visited the spa and had a wonderful experience. We will definitely go back!"
