Wow does this hotel impress! We came here to celebrate my husband's birthday, and we loved our stay here. Not only is the hotel dog-friendly, but so is the staff. When we arrived, we were greeted with fresh cookies, a glass of wine, and so many smiling faces! The rooms are also beautiful. We stayed right on the croquet lawn, and we had a patio that looked onto the lawn, and the room was huge! We loved that it was so peaceful and quiet. Another thing we loved about the room was that the floors in the bathrooms were heated AND there was a fireplace. It made the space so cozy! The restaurant, Lucia, is also a standout. Wow was the food amazing! There was only one little service snafu that we wished had been clarified. I called on our way down, requesting a bottle of champagne to be in the room upon our arrival. It was not there, but when I called room service, they brought it quickly. When it arrived, the server said that it was complementary, which we were both very pleased with. However, upon our departure, they charged us for the bottle! It was a bit unforutnate for the way the whole thing transpired. That said, we loved our time there, and we will look forward to coming back.

This property is everything you could want in a small, quaint high-end resort. I had to come here for business meetings so I brought my girlfriend along and it ended up being a perfect combo of work/romance. From the moment we pulled up into we left, the staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms are amazing...from the heated bathroom floors to the cozy fireplace setting to possibly the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in. We had putting contests and bocce games in between meetings and the 24-hour fitness center and hot tub was a huge plus for relaxing after hours. The restaurant is excellent and the cocktail list at the bar is interesting and fun...and the house wines are excellent, especially the cab. It was a great destination for an intimate business conference but will definitely return for more romance and time to enjoy the grounds.

Even though we are local to the Bay Area, the Bernardus Lodge provides the ambience, service and amenities that make us feel like we are getting away - even for just a weekend. The Bernardus wine is a bonus!

Wow!! We cannot believe how wonderful this hotel is. We stayed 2 nights in the middle of December. We have stayed in many luxury hotels in this area and this is totally the best. They have made great improvements over the years and now it has great rooms, delicious food, and super service. We will be back next year.

Spent one night here on our way up California coastline from LA to SF. Firstly, what amazing service. Exceptionally kind, always available to assist with your every need, but they somehow take it one step further. Lots of outdoor activities on the property to take advantage of (tennis courts, bocce ball, croquet, etc), spa was lovely, and there were fire places simply everywhere! Stayed in the Vineyard Suite, which if you're interested in splurging a little, felt totally worth it! Living room had a 10 person dining table, so would be good for hosting a party, there were three fire places (living room, bedroom, and outdoor patio area), a double shower, two person copper bath tub, and an outdoor shower in a small private patio space. Really just amazing! Food was excellent, and again, service was exceptional. And to top it all off, there were bottles of water ready for us in the car when we checked out! Considering the space, luxury, and service offered, the cost was exceptionally reasonable.
