Located in the charming town of Chapel Hill, North Carolina, is one of America's most enchanting inns. The Carolina Inn, a AAA Four-Diamond Award property, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and originally opened in 1924. It is architecturally noteworthy, as it marries elements of antebellum styles with Georgian and neoclassical features. Part of the Destination Hotels & Resorts collection of posh properties, The Carolina Inn is located on the actual campus of the University of North Carolina, and is a popular hideaway for intellectuals and socialites. You will find a collection of well-appointed guest rooms including seven luxury suites, with a palette of rich colors, priceless antiques and cozy furnishings that resemble those found in a lavish Southern estate.

Cool place, quaint and great location. Rooms comfortable. Front desk tends to be a bit snobby, especially young girl with long brown straight hair working on 5/6 1pm. Expect morenof a warm professional response to questions. Having second thoughts about coming back with my husband. Coffee shop and restaurant personal wonderful!

We had a great time at the Carolina Inn when we visited to attend a wedding. The rooms were comfortable and quiet. The food and drinks at the Crossroads restaurant were very good and the staff super friendly! We would definitely stay there again- perhaps on a higher floor. We had a view of the parking lot so that was not ideal, but we were out most of the time enjoying Chapel Hill!

I only wish we had more time to spend in the Carolina Inn! Everything was super clean and beautiful. The interior design was a treat. Each space was beautifully done and beautiful surprises throughout in the art, wallpaper, custom rugs, etc. The bed was amazing - wish I had time to sleep in!

Pricey but worth it, even so: Reason 1, location, location, and location; No. 2, it's "the" classic!

My wife and I enjoyed a superlative stay at The Carolina Inn using a 3-night stay package we purchased via an auction from Luxury Link.
The Inn proved to be a wonderful location to enjoy a romantic weekend. The Inn itself is a graciously restored Southern Georgian-style building with lovely decor and furnishings and excellent narrative plaques throughout the facility which detail both its history and various expansions and restorations. The highlight of the Inn is its deservedly acclaimed restaurant Carolina Crossroads, which offers innovative cuisine that effortlessly and creatively marries locally grown Southern ingredients and cooking styles with ingredients and cooking styles drawn from other U.S. regions and other countries with a lovely dining room and outstanding and genteel service. The spacious guestrooms are nicely decorated and maintained with lovely guest amenities. In summary, The Carolina Inn is a true Southern belle!"
