French Quarter Inn

This was our first visit to Charleston in celebration of our 31st wedding anniversary and the French Quarter Inn exceeded our expectations! The location was so convenient to be able to walk to different sites and restaurants. We were warmly welcomed with champagne and a beautiful acknowledgment of our anniversary from the general manager. Our room was picture perfect and spotless, thanks to our housekeeper Carisma. All the amenities including breakfast, wine and charcuterie hour, and warm cookies in the evening made our stay even more special. If you're traveling to Charleston, don't hesitate to book your stay at this gorgeous inn!

From greeting us upon check in to check out our experience was flawless, everyone was friendly & professional. Our room was quiet & spotless with the most comfortable bed and bedding. They even have a “pillow concierge” button on your phone. We were so delighted and surprised at the quality and quantity of food selection offered at wine and cheese hour and breakfast. Just delicious. I highly recommend.

The French Quarter Inn provided a perfectly charming accommodation experience. Friendly, helpful and thoughtful staff, ideal location (walking distance to many must-see areas,) attention to every detail. Comfortable, clean, quiet and beautiful property and rooms, lobby-supplied inviting and delicious breakfast, happy hour, sweets, water and night caps. As a multi-generational Charlestonian, now living in Texas, my expectations were high...the inn exceeded them. I gladly and enthusiastically offer my highest recommendation.

If you are staying anywhere else in Charleston, you’re doing it wrong! My wife and I visited in November 2025, and the French Quarter Inn provided the single best hotel experience of our lives. I made a significant error with our reservation (entirely my fault), and the staff handled it like absolute legends. They went above and beyond to rectify my mistake, ensuring our trip didn’t skip a beat. That level of service is unheard of! The hotel itself is stunning and located literally in the center of the action—we walked everywhere. Our room was beautiful, spotless, and incredibly comfortable. We also looked forward to the food every single day; the breakfast, evening happy hours, and late-night snacks were world-class and the perfect touch. We recommend the French Quarter Inn and the City of Charleston without limitation. To the staff: thank you for a flawless stay!

Christmas season in Charleston is special. We spent 3 nights with 2 couples who have been long time friends, and chose the French Quarter Inn as home-base. We were all impressed with all aspects of this excellent hotel. The location is central, non of us used our cars during the stay, walking to restaurants and entertainment. The atmosphere is one of elegant refinement, and the Christmas decorations were a special treat. Rooms are classy, exceptionally clean, and quiet. Bedding is luxury all the way, as are the toiletries, linens, and robes. Service is friendly and quick. The breakfast buffet was excellent, as were the afternoon cheese and wine, and evening cookies and sherry! We are already planning our Christmas vacation for next year back at the French Quarter.
