This hotel is outstanding due in large part to the excellent service provided, especially by Marvin and Jenny. They both went out of their way to make sure we had a perfect stay - true southern hospitality, like staying in an old friend’s beautiful home. The bellmen are incredibly helpful. Tons of amenities like breakfast, happy hour, and night time cookies make this a fabulous place to stay.

We’ve been visiting Charleston for over 15 years and have stayed at many excellent hotels, but none have exceeded our expectations like the French Quarter Inn. Every detail — from the concierge’s pre-arrival assistance to the check-in experience, breakfast, and evening receptions — was handled flawlessly. Our room was beautifully decorated, quiet, and exceptionally comfortable. The bed and pillow selection were as good as any we’ve experienced, and thoughtful touches like high-quality linens, and turndown service with chocolates made it feel truly special. The complimentary breakfast offered a great variety of fresh items, and the evening wine and cheese reception was the perfect way to relax before dinner. Service throughout the stay was warm, attentive, and professional — the entire staff goes above and beyond to make guests feel welcome. The location is ideal, just one block from the Charleston City Market and within easy walking distance of King Street, Waterfront Park, and many of the city’s best restaurants and shops. Despite being in the heart of downtown, the Inn remains peaceful and relaxing. After many years of visiting Charleston, we can confidently say the French Quarter Inn sets the standard for Southern hospitality and boutique luxury. We’ll definitely be returning on future visits.

We stayed at the French Quarter Inn on a rainy nor'easter night in October and it was the best hotel experience we've ever had. We felt so lucky to have such a beautiful and comfortable room to enjoy on such a dreary day. We even got a chance to sit on the balcony when the clouds parted for a short while. The entire staff was welcoming and accommodating throughout our stay, from managing an early check-in as available, to us finding ourselves in a surprise complimentary upgrade when we arrived to our room. It truly was the nicest hotel room we'd ever stayed in and was a real treat for us while celebrating my husband's 60th birthday. Even though our room was right by the elevator, we never heard any noise at all. The hotel was very quiet. We appreciated the opportunity to chat with other guests over a nice glass of wine and a generous charcuterie service at the evening social hour before we headed out to dinner. The hotel won my husband over even more with a bedtime snack of cookies and milk upon our return, just before 10pm. I loved the availability of the Jelly Belly candies! Waking up to our choice of breakfast delivered to our room was a delicious start to our day; soft scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, lots of bacon, and duck fat roasted potatoes. In the morning we didn't feel rushed to leave; a check out time of noon allowed us to relax and soak up every possible minute of a stay that made us feel special and very pampered. Although we just left the hotel two days ago, we have already booked our next stay for my birthday in December. We can't wait to see the inn decorated for the holidays!

Just returned from our trip to Charleston and I can't give enough praise to the French Quarter Inn. The hotel is immaculate.Everyone from the front desk staff to the valet was very warm and welcoming. The location is perfect walking distance to everything. Our room was top notch, and kept beautifully tidy by our housekeeper Susan. The breakfast was plentiful and the wine and cheese as well as the evening " night cap" of cookies and milk was perfection. I don't think we have ever stayed in such a well appointed, friendly hotel. We hated to leave, but will definitely be back. Highly recommend the French Quarter Inn! Thank you again for such a memorable stay!

My wife and I recently stayed at the French Quarter Inn for our Anniversary. We had an amazing time here. Starting with champagne at check in, we knew we were in for a special stay. The room was large, clean, and beautifully appointed (and the bed was super comfortable). The hotel itself was also beautiful, and kept so clean. All staff were friendly, courteous, and willing to help. The hotel is located in a fabulous area, near shopping, restaurants, and all the touristy things there are to do in Charleston. What made our stay extra special, were all the amenities offered. The bountiful breakfast in the morning, afternoon wine and cheese, evening cookies, all day beverages (water, seltzer, lemonade, ice tea, coffee, tea, etc), and all day candies offered. It was these amenities which made our stay so amazing and special. It was also all the little details which makes such a difference in a vacation (ie wipes in the toilet area, make-up remove wipes, etc). We had the pleasure of meeting Carlo (the General Manager) at breakfast one morning. You can see what a great job he does, and how much he cares about the hotel, and the guests experience. It was so nice meeting Carlo and getting to know him. Our stay at the French Quarter Inn exceeded our expectations and we look forward to returning. Thank you for a special experience.

I am a former chef and am now a catering director at a private country club. Being extremely picky and wanting the best possible accommodations and food - we were nothing but happy with French Quarter Inn!

My wife and I stayed at the French Quarter Inn on a Monday and Tuesday evening. As our second visit to Charleston, we wanted to enjoy the Battery area history and restaurants for a couple days. French Quarter Inn was fantastic! The staff really set the stage for a memorable and rejuvenating visit. Charleston really is a unique and wonderful city, and I highly recommend the French Quarter Inn for helping us take a little of Charleston with us.
